CYOTF (New)

You know what they say, don't piss off strange old women.

added by The Brilliant Dr. Garfield 8 years ago O

You are out of milk.

With the recipe you are making calling for milk, you really have no choice but to quickly drive to the grocery store and hope you get back in time to watch the game. You drive quickly towards the store, generally going over the speed limit and cutting a few stop signs, until you final pull into the lot in front of the store. Grabbing your wallet, you rush in, run to the dairy section, grab a gallon or two, and run to the front of the store, bowling over some innocent bystanders while you're at it.

You tap your fingers impatiently while the cashier rings up your purchase. "$12.53, Sir." The girl says. You throw her the money and barely have enough time to grab your receipt before you rush out of the store, jump back in your car, and are on your way, cutting off at least ten cars on your way out of the lot.

It's dark, but it's not raining and it's not that cold. You're thankful, as that lets you see better. You turn onto a country road, stretching off into the distance until the tarmac meets the sky, as if the road itself melts into the patchwork of stars. Slowing down a little, you go to make your turn onto the road that will eventually lead to your house, but you feel the car slowing down. Cursing, you look at the fuel gage and are dismayed to see the needle dipping towards the E.

You punch the wheel in frustration, and barely have enough time to look up before a honking horn and bright headlights cause you to throw our hands up in surprise. You and your car lurch as the other car, breaks squealing, hits your own at a slow pace. The shaking stops and the crash is over. You punch the wheel again, passed that not only that you got in an accident, but that you'll now miss the game.

You step out of your car just as the other driver opens the door to theirs. "Nice move, buddy. Didn't you see me? Now I'll miss the game. I hope you're happy, you worthless piece of..." your words trail off as an older woman, wearing a dress, scarf, and large hat, steps out the car. She puts her hands on her hips and looks at you accusingly.

"Wrong. You caused the crash, not me. I was simply trying to stay in my lane when you so rudely drove over into mine. Now, I'll call my insurance company and..." she is cut off as you aggressively kick her car. "Fuck you, fuck your insurance company. I'm out of gas and I have to walk two miles to the gas station. Are you happy?" you yell at the woman, your face getting red.

She just smiles. It was at this moment that you look around. You're on a deserted country road, with the night sky full of stars above you fields and trees stretching out to your right and left. Maybe this wasn't the best place to have a fit.

You look at the woman, too, and notice that she has many bracelets and rings on. In the air around her is a faint scent of incense and roses. She waves her hands in the air and laughs. "All right, I won't call my insurance company. But I'll do something much better..." she says, stepping back.

"Hey, lady, calm down. I'm sorry that I hot you. Look, I'll pay for that damages and we'll just forget this whole thing, huh?" You plead, taking a step back towards your car. But that's when the lady does something.
