* Ya couldn't help myself and decided to go for it. Feel free to rewrite the chapter if you don't like the route I took. Also wrote this in my phone so it's pretty short.
Peter was barrly aware of what was happenjng around him. One second the man before him was demanding Peter give him the keys to his Mustang, and the next there was a gun pointed at him.
And then a loud bang echoed in his ears. Deafening, Peter didn't even realize it had come from the gun. The man, obviously flustered and angry, had pulled the trigger, grabbed Peter's keys, and sped off. Peter lay on the ground, staring at the stars while bleeding profusely.
Patrons inside the diner heard the commotion and immediately came to his aid. Peter was half concious as someone pressed a cloth against the wound in his abdomen. Another was shouting for someone to call 911. Peter just lay there, wishing he'd at least gotten something to eat before getting mugged.

Elsewhere....
Douglas Cooper was all settled in for the night with his tigress when he heard his cell ringing. Reluctantly he got up and answered the call. This being the Friday before Labor day he was expecting this to be a call about a drunk driver or an out of control teen party.
"What's wrong?" Douglas asked his deputy. Joan had heard Douglas getting up and found him bent over the dining room table. The look on his face, and the strong grip he had on the table, told her something was very wrong.
"I'll be down as soon as I can. Keep me posted, and get a werewolf on that guy's trail. I want him found ASAP." Douglas said, his tone grave and sullen. Joan came up behind him, asking what had happened.
"A mugging gone seriously wrong outside the diner. A boy's been shot, and I have to go tell his father." Douglas knew all the aspirin in the wouldn't help him deliver this ill news to Leon. A pair of ear plugs might be in order, as the Lion King of Moon Lake would most definitely vocalize his anger and sorrow.
What Douglas couldn't know was that Leon and his family were celebrating Jean and Nate's engagement and were-wedding. Which would now be coming to an abrupt and premature end.
