You weren't quite sure how old these ruins were. From all of your knowledge gained from history these ruins matches no known ancient civilization in North America.
Vines and moss grew around the stone blocks, nearly all of the buildings had collapsed from erosion as you explored the ruins. Mushrooms grew from the dank corners of the structures and you found several rodent nests as well.
Overall, after exploring you concluded that the ruins were about the size of a football field. Was this place a town? How come you had never heard of this place before? Surely these would have been discovered already. This Park couldn't be THAT big after all. Where even were you?
Panic slowly started to settle in as you explored the old ruins. Finding nothing of immediate use. Then you realized, at the heart of the town was a outdoor shrine. Small and was once probably beautiful. Dedicated to a forgotten god, smal pieces of golden coins were still on the altar, leftover offerings from a time long ago. The altar head was a strange symbol, a circle with a ten pointed star in the middle. Fascinating.
Dedicatedly you trace your fingers over the stone, somehow it had remained intact after all these years, if you looked carefully you could see carvings depicting mythical stories. A couple illustrated a young man fighting a strange demonic figure with the head of a hawk. Another showed a story of a women, possibly a cleric, praying to what seems to be a meteor shower. But most of the carvings had one character in particular. It was of a dragon. Four wings and a semi-humanoid appearance. It looked both beastial and noble at the same time. As you looked closer at the dragon you saw it had other animal features as well. It had horns similar to that of a reindeer, two pairs of wings, one feathered, another scaled, its hands seemed to have paw pads like those of a dog or wolf, but the most interesting feature was...
