Freddie headed back into the grounds of the carnival. He didn't think it would be safe to walk home alone. What if some strange guy forced him to ride with them? He decided the best option was to go look for Madame Illusia. Surely she could reverse what she had done to him. Or at least protect him from all the other men.
But as he walked through the carnival grounds he realized this was a mistake. His changes started to reverse as soon as he left Rob, but men continued to ogle him. And the longer they looked, the more he felt his body change. He decided he was better off just hiding, waiting out of sight until the carnival cleared out. Then he could safely find Madame Illusia.
It was a good plan but everywhere he looked he saw people. He was about to give up hope when he saw the dark, poorly lit area near the rear of the carnival. A large sign 'Employees' Only' sign hung above the entrance - a single sagging rope - and discouraged any passersby from entering. But the sign did not deter Freddie. The carnival owed him a safe place to hide. He doubted they would raise a fuss if he hid backstage with the performers. After looking both ways and checking that the coast was clear, he jumped over the rope and shuffled into the darkness of the enclosure.
It was hard to see in the dark, and before his eyes could adjust he was rocked by the foul stench of the place. It was like the staff just all took their dumps back here. He bumped into a heavy metal pole and winced as the pain shot through his funny bone. He thought the bars marked some other entrance and blindly felt across them for a door handle. Suddenly a loud roar followed by the acrid breath of a monster blowing directly into his face caused him to leap back and fall on his ass.
His heart raced with fear, but as his eyes adjusted to the darkness he saw a lion safely contained behind the metal bars of a cage. He looked around and now saw several different animals - elephants, rhinos, zebras, horses, even some reptiles - either chained to a post or locked in a cage.
Guess I am safe here, he thought as he stood up and brushed himself off. I doubt even the carnival staff like to come back here. I just have to wait a little while and then I can find Madame Illusia.
After a few hours, he grew bored and began to walk through the enclosure to get a better look at the animals, being careful to stay out of their reach. All the animals held some interest to him, but he felt almost drawn to one, almost as if the animal was calling out to him. He stood in front it and examined the proud beast. It was majestic, almost alluring in some way. The animal was a fine male representative of its species, and by the look of his reproductive organs the females were undoubtedly pleased.
Suddenly he felt that strange familiar tingling sensation. He looked down and saw his body beginning to change.
Are you fucking kidding me? The animals can do it, too? Shit! thought Freddie.
He slowly began to back away from the ......
