A new day and a new Dawn is upon us (Moon Lake of Earth 2)

added by Franknfurter69 6 years ago A

It was a busy shift for the paramedics in Moon Lake. Not use to the amount of calls they had to go too in one go; the two clearly wouldn’t last three hours if they worked in a major metropolitan area or city. Yet for the two were-rabbit paramedics; they were nearly spent when the call around midnight came to rush over to the Stovall Residence.

Despite getting a broken arm for his troubles in saving Peter Talbot’s life twice; Andy was still working. His arm in a cast, he was able to at least drive the vehicle while his partner attended to what turned out to be another pregnant woman going into labor. With husband and wife now safely in the back, doing his best to tune out the angry screams of pain coming from the wer-mer; Andy was able to get to the hospital in record time for a change. Owing up to the fact that there was little traffic on the roads and that they didn’t have an enraged were-lion as a patient; Andy was quite relived that he was able to end his shift on a happy note.

“Going home soon,” Andy’s partner speaking as they clean up the back of the ambulance.
“Yeah,” Andy is yawning; “wife going to be surprised when she sees my broken arm.”
“Woe to whoever shot Peter Talbot,” the other were-rabbit speaking; “if Peter’s father is anything like the boy, someone is going to have their throat ripped out.”
“Glad it’s not us,” Andy packing up a bag; “see you in a few hours, I’m heading home.”

After making his one phone call; Daniel Parker was pushed into a holding cell. With no care taken to see that he was injured; the man falls onto the floor face first breaking his nose. Getting up and looking for something to staunch the bleeding; Daniel was surprised that the small deputy that frog marched him into the cell could be that strong.

A man of six feet in height and no stranger to working out; Daniel was an amateur boxer when not screwing up and running afoul with the law. Which was most of the time as of late; after running a gambling ring for his father Frederick Parker; Daniel got pinched in a sting operation by the feds. On the run and trying to lay low on his way to Canada; Daniel couldn’t resist himself and had to mess up again.

Grabbing the roll of toilet paper next to the toilet/sink; Daniel grabs a few squares and uses it to stop the blood streaming from his nostrils. Looking at the person who shoved him into the cell; the better to look and glare at that man. Daniel was surprised that it was a female deputy that managed to effortlessly toss him around.

Thinking he could scare and intimidate the deputy; Daniel lunges at her only to summarily shoved back into the cell only now landing on his ass. Stunned, he looks at the female deputy and hears from her a low snarl. Not the kind a person imitates after watching nature shows; but a real animal like snarl. The sound made Daniel’s blood run cold as the he stares at the deputy slamming the cell door close and walking away.
“Did she sound like a wolf there for a second,” Daniel panicking; “I hope dad’s lawyer can get me out of here. I got a bad feeling about this place.”

Melissa Stovall was sweaty, tired and nearly exhausted. Giving birth to twins was no easy feat for the woman. Despite going into labor around midnight; Mellissa wasn’t able to begin giving birth until a few hours later. In pain and under duress, it was natural for her to start mouthing off and threatening her husband with all sorts bodily harm. Yet despite all the torment he had to endure; Martin still held his wife’s hand as she bore through the pain of giving birth.

Now Martin held his new born daughter, while Melissa was cradling her son. Melissa gave birth to fraternal twins; like identical twins, a rarity for weres. Both smile and beam as their latest offspring start to settle down from their initial bout of crying. For Martin this was a new beginning for him; a second chance at being a good father and a faithful husband.
“Dawn,” Martin looking at his daughter; “that should be your name. What do you think Melissa,” Martin looking at his wife as she stares back at him.
“Joshua for our son then,” Melissa naming the newborn boy; “after my grandfather.”
“Welcome to the family,” Martin crying; “Dawn and Joshua.”

Arriving back home and looking tired; Douglas Cooper inadvertently stepped on one of his nephew’s toys, breaking the object under his shoe. Grumbling as he had to inform the Talbots of the unfortunate news of their son being shot; the were-grizzly shuffles off his clothes as he heads for bed. Assuming his fursona; a brown furred grizzly bear with large six inch claws on his paws, Douglas grunts as he makes his way to bed.

Stopping to see Joan asleep and in her were-tigress fursona; Douglas’s sour mood disappears upon seeing the Cherokee were-tigress he fell in love with purring softly. Doing his best not to wake her; Douglas climbs into bed and gently spoons her. His large ursine frame all but enveloping the lithe woman; Douglas could not help but rumble happily as he notices Joan purring a little more loudly now that he is in bed with her. Carefully embracing Joan with his large bear paws; Douglas is soon fast asleep, unaware that his own were-wedding with the were-tigress next to him is coming up soon.
