when James took a look in the mirror and see what the witch had done that To his shock, the reflection staring back at him in the mirror wasn't human. it told him he was now a raccoon. at first He couldn't believe it as it was true as it had to be some kind of really clever illusion trick, but when he twitched his ears as he moved his head around while his stripy grey and black tail was swinging back and forth that the raccoon in the mirror matched his every movements, even his furry paws.
James turned to Kayla and try to speak with a complaint to Kayla about the situation, but his words didn't come out as they were let out by a series of chattering sounds which Kayla giggled at delightedly. A bleat of terror came from in his heart when he tried to scream from his muzzle, but still came out as chatters. James ran on his two - no, four legs as the raccoon n the mirror moved in unison that he then walked back to where Kayla had turned you.
Kayla knelled down to him and started to stroke his back, which somehow helped him calm him down a little. " I did say that I was a witch." Kayla said while smiling shyly. "I know this is sort of a shock and hard to take in, but you'll soon enjoy it and besides, You seem to have raccoon tongue. since your a raccoon now as you are still who you were with all of your memories and knowledge." It was true. James remembered being human with the ability of being able to talk and use his hands.
Kayla stood up. "However I wasn't totally so sure if this spell would work as I may have a spell that will make you feel better, but I must confess that i didn't worked out how to reverse it yet. well, I guess I need a lot more practice" James, who could still understand everything Kayla had said had only hope she was just joking about it.
"Now, I guess I need to decide on what to do with you. We have some nice looking raccoons over in the petting zoo as i'm sure they will be happy to see you. Maybe you'd like to have some company as my little pet, but then again, maybe not as i can't just leave you like this. Sometimes the magic fades a little, or eventually goes away completely."
James chattered in confused by his own thoughts as he took a moment to think about it. The idea of being with other raccoons was exciting, but it sounded like he might change back to a human on a bad time too. Did he even wanted that? "oh, If only I spoke raccoon like you. then we could discuss this properly!" she taunted as James took some time to inspect his body.
