"Yeah, well, if he changed back, I don't see why you need me here, Spen," said Rick nervously as the two approached the barn.
"Well, I don't think he's changed back completely, Rick. I figure, if he is his old self, at least temperamentally, he'll respond to his best friend."
"Best friend, yeah?" snickered Rick. "The poor guy, if he really considered me his best brah."
"Yeah, well, maybe not best, but close enough he took the drink you gave him."
"Yeah, with Chad a cow, I'm practically guaranteed to be captain of the baseball team."
"Sh, do you hear that," Spencer said as he unlocked the barn door.
"Moo?" lowed Chad in confusion. His bell clanged.
Spencer flipped on the lights. There was the cow with her bell and swollen udder.
"Guess rumors of Chad's reversion were exaggerated," laughed Rick.
"Well, somehow or other he managed to dial the phone and speak to my mother and me," Spencer said uncertainly, "Still she does seem to be all cow now. And it looks like she needs milking. You thirsty, Rick?"
Rick chuckled, "Fresh milk? Straight from the tap?"
"Well, udder," Spencer corrected, "Here, Cheddar, come to your owner," he called.
Chad couldn't help but to obey.
