Freddie Parker’s bodyguard was discreetly observing the people leaving the courthouse; wearing dark glasses, to hide the scar that has blinded him in one eye. The man from Odessa was once a Spetsnaz agent for the Russian army until he was drummed out for accepting bribes from the local mafia. Fleeing to America before he was arrested by both Interpol and the Russian FAS; the man was lying low before he ran into Freddie Parker. Finding work as a problem eliminator for the San-Francisco mobster; he felt at home for the first time in years.
While the glasses he wore help hide his identifying scar; they also had a tiny hidden camera hidden in the bridge. Operating in California; the man had access to the latest gadgetry to come out of Silicon Valley. Finding the latest spy gadgets to be the most useful as the glasses are linked to his smart phone. Pressing a button on his phone every time someone left the courthouse; a hi-res digital photo was created to be looked at by his boss later. Not knowing not knowing who his target may be, the man felt it was prudent to hold back while he waited word from Freddie.
Soon enough he see his boss leave the courthouse; while he knows Freddie saw him; the mobster makes no acknowledgement as to his presence. Determined to keep his purpose for being here as secretive as possible; he lingers a few more minutes before getting up from the café patio he was sitting in. Taking the coffee he barely sipped with him; the man calmly walks towards his next location, Talbot Restoration.

Daniel Parker was fuming; the lawyers representing him were as useful as a one legged dog in a duck hunt. Unable to bet him off the charges as the Judge effectively shut them down from storming him with motions and procedures. But what really steamed him was the fact that his father did nothing to facilitate his freedom. Now back in a jail cell; Daniel was wondering what was next in store.

“So that’s the plan,” Freddie speaking to his assistant in the limo the two were sitting in; “the crew I have standing by in Seattle will arrive in a few days posing as US Marshall agents. They will collect my son and take him to Canada where he will,” Freddie grumbling; “by the grace of god, lay low at his Uncle’s.”
“And what of the FBI,” the assistant asking; “what will you do with them?”
“I’ll leave that to my bodyguard Chelnik,” Freddie smiling; “no government G-man will last long against a former Spetsnaz.”
“That still leaves the issues of the real US Marshalls,” the assistant speaking; “what if they arrive before your crew?”
“They won’t,” Freddie responding; “my inside man in the US Marshalls has assured me that they will be thoroughly misinformed as to the location of Daniel Parker and Moon Lake.”
“Okay,” the assistant adding; “what about the prosecution wanting your son to say here and face trial?”
“That won’t happen,” Freddie chuckling; “the FBI will most likely make an excellent case in extraditing my son back to California to face his RICO* charges. That I’m counting on,” Freddie grinning; “and expecting to succeed.”

Agent Brooke Reed was using the Sheriff’s office to place a phone call to the FBI director. After noticing Freddie “the Shark” Parker at the court house; she hightailed it back to the police station. Thanks to being a werewolf; she was able to make it back well before the arraignment ended. Informing the director the mobster under investigation was in Moon Lake; it was clear he managed to slip the FBI agents tailing him in San-Francisco. The director, a were like agent Reed was not happy to hear that. Assuring Agent Reed that she would have back up in the form of a few extra federal agents; the director gave Reed authorization to ask the elder council for assistance in keeping an eye on the mobster.
“It’s not even noon,” agent Reed speaking to herself; “and I already want to let my wolf out and chase something down.”
“That just means you are anxious,” the Sheriff entering his office; “it goes away after you have been a were-beast for some time.”
“Sheriff Cooper,” Agent Reed looking shocked; “I didn’t hear you come in.”
“You were occupied,” Sheriff Cooper answering; “And sorry but I couldn’t help but overhear your conversation with the FBI director. As a were-grizzly,” the sheriff looking apologetic but was cut off.
“I know,” Agent Reed finishing; “being a were means all of your senses are more acute then a normal person’s.”
“Daniel Parker will soon be brought back here,” Sheriff Cooper changing the subject; “while we have every right to keep him behind bars what with the crimes he is accused of, his father is another matter.”
“The FBI is working on that,” Agent Reed sighing; “from what I heard, the plan was to flip Daniel Parker and have him turn on his father. We are also working on a RICO case to take him down as well.”
“Ambitious,” the Sheriff answering; “but as long as he keeps his nose clean here in town-"
“I know,” Agent Reed responding; “your paws are tied. But that doesn’t mean,” Reed putting her phone away; ”that the council can’t do anything.”
“You want to talk to Tachibana,” the sheriff asking.
“You are the only one I know that can arraign a meet,” Agent Reed speaking; “plus I’m sure a mob boss roving around town unobserved is something the council is loathed to let happen.”
“You make a valid point,” the sheriff heading to his phone; “I’ll get Tachibana on the line to meet with you. By now she knows of what happened to Peter Talbot and would like to be made aware of any further information.”
