Derrick smirked and started making adjustments to the device.
"Pwease!" Tanner pleaded. "You can't!"
"Yea? Why not?" Derrick asked, activating the device. Tanner, awaiting the tell-tale sensations, braced himself. Nothing happened, except for a flashing red light on the Chronivac.
Derrick huddled over the view screen while Tanner strained on tiptoes to try to look at the device in his huge brother's hands.
"ERROR! SYSTEM SHUTTING DOWN! DO NOT ATTEMPT TO USE CHRONIVAC!"
"What's it saying?" Tanner asked.
"It's a worthless piece of..." Derrick growled. He had wanted to make some other modifications beyond just playing god with Tanner.
Tanner gulped. "But you can fix it?"
"Do I look like some computer nerd to you?"
"But...but I have to have it," Tanner reasoned out loud. "Or I'm stuck like this." He glanced down at the childish pull-ups that hugged his waist tightly below his rounded little tummy.
Derrick was a step ahead of him, realizing that he was also stuck as a handsome, confident adult male who, for the moment, was low on empathy for Tanner. He shrugged and his broad shoulders flexed beneath his T-shirt. "Sucks for one of us, I guess."
