"Gahh!" Kim's hands were covered in the same thick, brown fur as her feet. "My beautiful hands! No!"
Jennifer stopped laughing. "Kim, I understand you're in distress, but we need to focus on getting to the nearest town if you want to be rid of this."
Kim was inclined to agree with Jennifer, begrudgingly. At any rate, the fur was soft, and warm, and it WAS only on her hands and feet, so no problem, right?"
Kim grabbed a pear from a vendor they had passed with her feet. "Gross," Jennifer commented, watching Kim eat.
"Shut up! I clean my feet every day, for all you know!" Kim didn't clean her anything that often, but Jennifer didn't need to know that.

By midday, the fur had spread to Kim's arms and legs.
She had been slowly taking off overheated clothing to find more fur in more places. The takeover was getting more than a little annoying. Jennifer was still happy as could be, though.

"AY! SHUTTUP BACK THERE, SAVVY?"
Jamie had ended the argument very quickly, but he couldn't stop Kim's fuming or Jennifers self-assured smugness. Kim still felt a bit warm, though. Where was the fur spreading to now?
Kim had been turned into animals before. She didn't mind the experience, but this was grating. Why couldn't she just become a monkey and get it over with?

Nearing twilight, Kim had a full set of monkey hair. She was decked from head to furry toe in soft brown fuzz.
Jamie was ordering the two around the camp as they set up for the night. Kim and Jennifer had a heated argument that Jamie broke up by sending Kim for fish.
All day long, Jennifer had been assaulting her with her most hated thing: Jennifer being right. Maybe she would like monkey Kim better! Maybe she should have un-enchanted the apples, if she was so good at it!
Kim cast her rod, trying her new dexterous feet, laid back, and sighed deeply. Fishing was her one relaxing activity. She pulled her line in, turned to face over the edge of the old dock, and stared deep into her reflection...
