For a moment, Kelly thought about Katie. She was still her mother. She had responsibilities, even if the girl was in college. Those thoughts suddenly subsided however, as a new and much more mischievous thought came into focus. "What would it hurt to just ... let go a bit, have some fun? I always wondered what it would be like to be a boy."
As she looked about, eyes focusing on a nearby vending machine. She was thirsty. She wasn't before but she was now. And she wanted a drink, badly. Racing up to the machine she put in another quarter, almost desperate for something to quench her sudden and all consuming thirst. "Please provide desired species." the machine droned, a light female voice, mechanical and curious.
"Boy" said too quickly as Kelly began tapping her foot, a little fidgety as a clear bottle of bluepink soda dropped down into the receiving slot. Without a second thought, Amy opened the top and began chugging.
It was perfect. The soda was sweet. Almost too sweet. Tasting of berries and sugar and something almost vilely saccharine. Yet it quenched her thirst perfectly and within a minute, Amy was staring at the empty bottle, her desire for liquid sated. "Well, that was...uh, interesting" she thought, sitting down to gather her thoughts.
Within moments though, her stomach began to gurgle violently. Pain shooting through her chest as she groaned, gasping for air as she clutched her arms to her torso. "W-What t-the h-hell!?" gasping out through the quite palpable agony that lasted for almost a minute. She could feel her hair shifting around her, her body adjusting. Weird sensations tingled up from her head to her feet, and distinctly, in her new boyhood.
When it was over, she looked around and down to her arms and legs. She didnt look any different. But when she reached up to touch her hair, she felt something VERY different. Her hair was much shorter. Moreover, her girls clothes felt...odd on her body. Getting up she looked for a mirror and gasped at what she saw.
A boy stood there before her, albeit a boy wearing her clothes. His face was just changed enough she could see herself, but it was different enough that one wouldn't know her, unless they knew her well.
