Thinking how nice it would be to make some new friends, you bark once she mentions the Garden. She smiles as she opens the door.
"Good choice, my friend- it’s the first place where most of our newly transformed canines such as yourself go to try out their new bodies."
You trot happily behind your new friend with your tail wagging and your tongue hanging out. Being a dog feels- oddly enough- completely natural to you, almost downright instinctive. Like perhaps you were meant to be a dog if not for a twist of fate that lead you to being born human. But before you can really try to think around your newly developing canine instincts about that, your friend opens up a door to the outside and floods the room with new scents.
"Here we go, boy."
She leads you to a large, fenced enclosure where several dogs of all breeds are going about their business at being dogs. As you and your friend get closer, one of the dogs sees you and lets off a friendly bark to attract his pack mates attention. Soon several of the dogs inside the enclosure are welcoming you by barking, wagging their tails, smiling and prancing happily to and fro in front of the gate leading inside. Your friend leads you inside and then closes the gate behind you. She tries saying something to you, but you don’t hear here as you are in the midst of introducing yourself to several of the dogs. You sniff, lick and nuzzle each of your new canine friends, not at all surprised on how natural your actions to these dogs are. Just as you are about to greet another of your new canine friends, your human friend whistles to get your attention. You look back and up at her.
"Just to let you know my furry friend, but the more you enjoy being and behaving like a dog, the greater the chance your costume will lock itself into reality and thereby make you a real German Shepherd dog for good."
She then leaves as you find yourself torn between the rising desires of your newly developing canine instincts and the fear of becoming a dog for real. And the other dogs with you aren’t helping as they continue to distract you away from your ability to reason. Their needs and your needs are very strong in your nostrils. To be a man trapped in a dog’s body, or to be a dog in both body and mind, what a choice!
