Well, no,not actually suddenly.
What happened was that the Drakenarkenstone,which was consuming vast amounts of internal power
keeping Nate in his dragonform,suffered
a magickal short circuit recoil"
Basically a item stretched to the limits like a tow cable under massive
electromagical potential,snapped like a rubber
band.
What that meant was that Nate suddenly snapped back into
his human shape(though nude)
and in the spectactular light and smoke magic show the other four were witness to
the Drakenarkenstone whipped off Nates shrinking tail,
flew through the smoke and lightening filled air
and plopped through Michaela (Mickey)'s open bag purse,where it
lay undiscovered by her.
Naturally Nate thought being a dragon would be cool,as did Sarah.
So soon the five of them were crawling around the
stone castle floor looking
for the missing
gemstone,without success.
So they spent another half hour exploring the Castle,before they left to see
that nights movies.
So they all broke up and headed to their separate homes
Mickey headed to her own bedroom ,tossed the big bag purse she had on the
bed,and since it was already past midnight and she was tired,
she flopped onto her bed and was soon asleep.
Now Mickey had a Science Fair project she had to show off
to hundreds of scientists the new day in the huge highschool
gymnasium.
Her topic of research was about how scientific thinking
and logic had finally triumphed over primitive mythical thinking
and folktales (such as about dragons and knights fighting it out for
the maiden) in the 15th century,leading to the Age of Reason.
However as she dreamed about Albert Einstein,Issac Newton and thomas
Crookes shaking her hand and praising her on her Science Fair
project,the shorted out Drakenarkenstone reset its circuit breakers
and began to glow weakly,coating Mickey in a lower dose
of drakenlight.
Though it was weakly powered,that meant the Drakenarkenstone didn't
trip any magical circuits this time and had the whole night and a few
hours into the morning
to turn Mickey into a bigger and more permanently dragon cursed
dragoness then normally would have been possible with
the "quik change" method the Drakenarkenstone
normally did.
Mickey was now a dragon,which mean
-she naturally slept during the day
-the bed had long since collapsed under the growing weight of the growing mythical creature
-she had big black scaled forepaws,which since her new dragoness
instincts dealt with mating,hunting,laying eggs and gathering her
shiny coins beside and underneath her
-meant that those huge muscled forelegs of hers had demolished the
room as her claws had raked along the floor and swept all the nighttables,clothing and stuff beside her huge heaving body
-the blast furnace within her had been at full flame hours before,which
meant sparks and flames and smoke and brimstone shooting out of the
nostrils and mouth of the sleeping scaly monster.
That had caused her bedroom to catch fire whilst she dreamt about killing a handsome meaty stag with her powerful tail.
Soon the whole house had been ablaze,and though the rest of the family
had managed to flee the blazing inferno,to the sleeping dragoness she
started dreaming about slithering about on a slightly warmed up rock.
Sooner or later the monster had to come out of her dragoness
dreams and so it
was that her grieving parents were sobbing away,the firefighters
were waiting for the fire to die out so they could look
for their daughters charred corpse.
Mickey woke up,kinda realized something wasn't quite right .
So the shocked parents stared up in horror as something in
the ruins shook off the burnt wood beams and stuff off its scaly hide as it got up to its
full three story heigh.
The monster swung its snouty reptillian head as it took in just
how dragonnish and huge and unhuman it was
then the monster bellowed away in despair as
bits of burnt wood and stuff dribbled away from her huge bats wings.
