Derrick's eyes widened as he saw three dogs' heads poking through the doorway, then they grew wider still when a single body followed them. As the strange dog trotted over to Hebe, Derrick tore his eyes away, staring back at the doorway. He didn't want to miss his new mother coming in.
A splashing sound came from the pool, and Derrick felt himself sink back into the pile of towels.
"Rest there for a moment, little one. Your mother needs some adjustment before she's ready for you." Hebe said, turning back to her pool. Derrick heard her making soothing noises to the dog as she massaged it, but he kept starting at the doorway, waiting for his mother to appear.
"Sorry to keep you waiting, little one. She's ready now." Hebe said, picking Derrick up again and carrying him over to the water. "I'm afraid that this will feel a little strange. She needs more than one baby, but all I have is you. Fortunately, there's enough of you here for her to make several puppies out of, once you get settled. Cerberus is a fine breed, and we want more of them around."
Derrick wailed as he realized that the dog was the "new mother" Hebe had told him about, but to no avail. He was plunged deep into the pool behind the dog's rear end, and the umbilical in his belly began to tingle. In a moment, it had grown long, the other end fastening itself deep within the dog's womb.
Then it began to tighten, pulling Derrick with it. Derrick tried to fight, but his legs sank into the dog's birth canal and stayed there. Then the rest of his body followed. At the end, Derrick saw all three heads of his new mother staring at him, just before Hebe pushed him the rest of thhe way inside.
