"Rachel what on Earth?"
Rachel looked over and saw her mother "mom; I'm sorry I don't know what..."
"Well, you should be!" Her mother responded, "I've told you before sweetie I want you to wear socks princess." She removed a pair of socks which were printed with Sofia the first.
"Socks?" Rachel questioned as her mother put the garments on her feet.
"Of course sweetie, we wouldn't want you to step on something and hurt your little footsies would we?" Rachel questioned.
"Little footsies?" Rachel repeated.
"Yes honey bunny" her mother responded.
"Honey Bunny" Rachel repeated. Her mother hadn't called her that since she was a toddler. That's when it hit her "mom... mommy how old am I?"
"What a silly question honey bunny, you're my big girl of three years old."
"Mom thinks I really am a toddler." Rachel thought to herself.
"Is something wrong princess?"
Rachel smiled "no mommy I love you" she reached out and hugged her mom.
"Oh, now there's my happy girl. Now stand up for a minute sweetie mommy needs to check your diaper."
Rachel crossed her arms defiantly "I no stinky mommy!"
"Well, mommy needs to be sure sweetie, now are you going to stand up like a good girl or is mommy going to have to pick you up?" Rachel's mother questioned Rachel finally oblidged. "All clean" Rachel's mother reported.
"See mommy? I told you so" Rachel responded.
"You certainly did honey." Rachel's mom said patting her daughter on the head "pretty soon you'll be ready for potty training." Rachel's mom pulled her into a hug "oh, you're growing up so fast."
"Not as fast as you think," Rachel said to herself.
