Now the second Lana read the final chapter and got to the
<The End> part, everything snapped back to the way it had been and Lana was a five year old girl again. The fridge,,significantly> was completely
empty.
However Lana's mother, a divorcee who'd only managed to hang onto Lana
after a nasty custody battle
with her ex,had got a 33 thousand dollar grocery credit with the
Meats R Us meat packing plant empire that her ex's paternal family
controlled.
Since Lana's mother was a vegetarian, and since her five year old daughter seemed more interested in chips and candy,it seemed likely
they'd never get to cash in on the
Meats R Us credit.
Now Lana's mother was named Dora and that early evening she went
up to Lana's room and found Lana fast asleep, and a 5 year old again, and her
pink bed.
So Dora put the brown book made out of some kind of white stiff cloth for its
bookcovers on a chair near the door.
Dora slid the nice warm pink blanket over her
sleeping daughter
and went to the door, gave the dark green book a quick second
glance, then switched of the bedroom lights and went into the bathroom and gave her teeth a thorough brushing.
She was already in her bed ready to go to sleep when it sturuck her
<She'd tossed a dirty white book on the chair of Lana's room, not
a dark green one.
So silently she tiptoed to Lana's door, opened it quietly and felt around on the chair .
The book was still there so Dora slid it out,
The book was definitely dark green.
So Lana's mother quietly closed the door and tiptoed back to her
room and gave the book another look while she lay on her bed
It was a childs book and featured a dark green dragon on the cover holding a big
toothbrush.
So Dora openned the cover.
The inside title page said
<Dorothea the Dragon Learns to Brush Her Teeth>
<Without Burning Her Tongue>
