You suddenly began feeling younger, and noticed your body was also growing young, but wasn't shrinking from its current size. You couldn't feel much, but the one thing you knew you felt was like a child again. You suddenly felt dizzy and woozy, and blacked out onto the floor. You woke up inside a nest, and right next to a large pile of gold, and jewels. You also saw a female dragon who you remember as your mother laying a large clutch of eggs, but remembered you seeing that as normal. You then saw a dragon who you remembered as you father walk into the room with what appeared to be a princess. "Oh god I am a stereotypical dragon, and a hatchling at that." You thought.
"Hey Cinders, hey Scorch, how is my family doing?" Your dad said. You seem to remember that you have so many siblings your dad never noticed you, and this was the first time he addressed you by name, Scorch. "Just finishing up another clutch, we should be on 158 now, I see you have another damsel, are we feeding Scorch it or are we just keeping it here as bait?" Your mother asked
"Well Scorch can eat her is he wants to, hell it's always amusing to watch knights wallow in their own sadness after they figure out that their princess is gone. Here, you can eat her whenever you please, or not if your not up for it she's probably your first. I'm going to greet the children, Cinder! time to mate again." Your dad said, giving you the princess, who was inside an easy to open cage.
"Of course master Flare." Your mom said, and your parents disappeared into a deeper part of the cave out of sight. You looked at the damsel who was cowering in fear from you. You knew this was wrong, so you decided to help her, in exchange for something else in return. You opened the cage, and walked up to the damsel who was absolutely terrified beyond anything you've seen. You walked slowly in front on her, and whispered,"Hey damsel, princess? Whoever you are I'm not going to harm you." you said
"Wh...what?" The damsel said
"I'm Scorch, my dad is Flare, and my mom is Cinder if you haven't heard of them before. You should know that we dragons have vast knowledge that far exceeds humans, but I have a request. I've lived all of my life ignored, and male dragons either grow up weak, and dead, or like my dad. I will free you, but all I ask from you is...is please take me with you, I don't want to live life like my dad, and any life for a dragon otherwise is basically a dead dragon life. I want to live without killing senselessly, without that stupid useless treasure hoard, and without a female who's only purpose is to be fucked, and breed for the rest of her life. I have 127, and soon to be 158 siblings, and the youngest at 102 years I am no different from any other hatchling here, except for the fact that I want to leave, and I want to change. I'm not infamous, and I'm not brutal or at least I don't want to end up like that. I'm letting you leave now, all I ask is to go with you." You said crying, but trying to be quiet remembering memories that you had in this life.
Just then you felt a touch on your chin, and you looked to see the damsel lifting your head,"You poor creature, I know neglect, but in my case there's reason. My name is Princess Diane, and my father has to manage an entire kingdom, but having that many siblings is just daunting. If you come with me will you promise me not to harm any human being without reason, Scorch was it?" The damsel, Princess Diane said
"I always found the concept of killing sentient life without reason sickening. Sentient life includes anything intelligent enough to speak verbally, which includes humans, and dragons alike. However I've never dreamed of killing defenseless beings, unless that being was an animal, and I was trying to survive." You said
"It is done then, I will follow you outside the cave, if a warrior, or knight comes and sees us together I will vouch for you. We will work out something back at the kingdom so you will have a place to call home." Princess Diane said, and you nodded
"I know a secret way outside the cave that I have used multiple times before, we can use that. Follow me," You said, and the princess nodded and you lead her through the passage. When you made it outside the cave you eventually found a path, and along it there was a.....
