Bets ran back to her classroom, thinking that would be a safe place from Rebecca. Even if Rebecca followed her, she wouldn't change Bets in front of Mr. Roberts and the class.
When Bets got to her classroom, something was wrong. It was not the same classroom. It was a nursery. Instead of the plain walls, there were butterflies and rainbows painted on the walls. Instead of desks, there were a whole bunch of cribs. Instead of tile floor, there was carpeting.
Mr. Roberts wasn't there. Some lady was. "Betty," the lady said, "how do you get out of here? Oh well." Then the lady picked Bets/Betty up.
Bets tried to say, "I'm not some baby," but all that came out was some sort of baby gibberish. Bets looked down at herself and saw that she had turned into a baby! She had different clothes on and a diaper.
After the lady put Bets into a crib, Rebecca walked in.
"Thanks for retreiving Betty, Rebecca," the lady said.
"No problem, Miss Kay," she said. "I love babies. But I need to go now."
"That's okay," Miss Kay said. "The parents should arrive soon anyways. Can you come back tomorrow?"
"Of course, Miss Kay," Rebecca said. Then she walked out, leaving Bets as a helpless baby in a crib.
