Both of Johnathan's new anthropomorphic wasp bodies sailed through the air, skimming the surface of the water. Having two bodies was really confusing. He wondered if he should give his different bodies names. Though once he got his hive going, surely he'd have thousands of bodies. Coming up with and remembering all those names would be impossible. So he decided to simply referring to one of himself as #0001 and the other as #0002, even though neither could be said to be more original than the other.
Through hive-mind vision, he could see his #0001 body from third person reach down and run his hand along the water, creating a rippling path in his wake. He looked to pretty. He couldn't wait to return and make love to himself. But for now, this was actually a lot of fun. He was flying! Actually flying! #0002 did a summersault in the air, and his other body giggled at how the water spray tickled. #0002 got a desire to tickle #0001. #0001 broke from the water at the desire of the other. It was so strange. He was both bodies, but they clearly had different personalities. One wanted to tickle the other and the other was shyly reluctant about it.
“Better look out...” the Toad King said, smirking. The surface of the water broke as a catfish burst out with the relative size of a whale. It's gaping lips closing around Johnathan's #0001 body. He was going to be eaten! And he'd be left outside the fish as well to watch his other half be consumed. #0001 tried to fly out of the closing mouth. His reached for the sky. #0002 reached down and caught himself just in time in a fly by, yanking #0001 free. The catfish's lips closed, barely missing his leg as it dove back under water.
The wasp-boys hugged, buzzing in the air and in each-other's... his own arms. “Thank you,” #0001 whimpered into the other's ears. Johnathan had said it and he had heard it. It was all him. But was it? Or were they two separate entities that were deeply telepathically linked? Was there a difference? Either way, Johnathan felt that the part of himself that had almost died needed comfort. “I'll never let you get hurt,” he promised. #0001 smiled back to himself with tears in his eyes. #0002 kdsssed them away.
His bodies rubbed together. He really needed to get to work so that he could return and make love to himself! It was odd. What was this feeling? “I love you...” one of him whispered. He hadn't meant to say that! He wasn't even sure which one of his bodies had said it, but as soon as it was out, he knew it was true. His two selves were deeply in love with each other.
