“Time to get lost,” Naomi's mother spoke.
“But without my magic I'll die!” Sheena cried. She put a hand on her chest. “I need my magic to fly!”
“Not my problem,” Naomi's mother said.
Sheena turned and called out to Naomi, “Please you can't just leave me out there alone!”
“Of course, I can!” Naomi’s mother laughed. “Your own your own!” She then walked way and stopped at her daughter.
“Come on Naomi.”
“But…” Naomi trailed off.
“She’ll be fine,” Her mother responded and grabbed her hands. “You still need to get your homework done.”
“Mom!” Naomi complained as she was led back into her house with Yukiko in her arms by her mother.
Sheena could only stare as she watched the two walk away from her. Slowly she got up from her knees and tracked into the forest. ‘Somehow!’ She thought. ‘Somehow I’ll get home!’ It was going to be a long ass walk but perhaps she could try to fly as well. ‘Just maybe,’ She thought. ‘Just maybe I can still fly.’ She then tried to use her wings to fly yet as she did she couldn’t fly. ‘I can’t fly!’ Sheena panicked as she tried again and again. Yet as she tried to pull her magic. ‘Anything! Just some!’ She cried.
‘I should have just asked to stay!’ Sheena cried as she leaned against a tree and slid down onto her ass. She leans against a tree that was slightly deep into forest. ‘Anything! Just a bit of magic!’ She whined but stopped as spider web markings appeared over her body. Magic, it wasn’t hers but it was not fading. Consistent. ‘Wait a minute!’ She thought. ‘This is that drider’s trap magic!’ As she felt the magic it was sending out a signal. Yet it was unrefined. ‘Let’s see!’ A bit of hope covered her face. ‘YES!’ she happy thought as she could send out a signal. SOS, the signal she used to try to call for her home.
Sheena then just rested her body against the tree and felt herself drifted off to sleep. Unknown to her the markings on her body spread over her body and onto the tree and grass. After a few minutes it all vanished as she turned invisible.
