You walked with Arc tripping once or twice at first, but Arc helped you up, and you got used to it after awhile. Eventually you got to a large medieval castle that seemed generic, but had a pleasant feeling to it oddly enough. You continued to follow Arc into a corridor where you both entered a room with a single man sitting in front if the two of you. You also coughed up a small plume of fire that disappeared almost instantly. "Master, I have returned, and have successfully summoned my familiar, who seems a bit agitated from his transformation." Arc said and knelt down on his knee.
You didn't know what was happening, nor did you know how to show any respect through body language now, so you just sat down. The man looked up at you both, and walked up to Arc nodding then knelt down to your level of height. "Hello there, you must be frustrated from the confusion, but for now you will answer a few questions. Please answer them honestly, and we will get you settled in here. I am head wizard Frauntus, you and Arc shall refer to me as Master Frauntus, or just master if speaking directly to me." Frauntus said
You nodded,"Understood," you said
"Was your summoning noticed at all on your world?" Frauntus asked
"I was asleep, and woke up here, but the last thing I remember before that I was at my house awake at night, and alone so I guess not." You said
"How was your transformation? describe it the best you can." Frauntus said
"Excruciatingly pain coursing everywhere on my body at once, like all my bones were being crushed all at once." You said
"As expected from Arc's skill level, this is why he doesn't do transformations yet. Final question, aside from adapting to your body, was there any unusual feelings from your body from the transformation?" Frauntus asked
"Aside from coughing up a small bit of fire along the way here, no, and nothing caught on fire just to clarify." You said
"Interesting, as for Arc," Frauntus said turning towards Arc,"You certainly need work on transforming targets, but at the same time you aren't currently learning on how to do that for a couple years. Read more into transformation so you can try to make your transformations less painful. Aside from that I need the two of you to follow me now." Frauntus said so you and Arc followed his lead.
Frauntus approached a bookshelf, and pulled out a couple books from it. Frauntus opened the book to a page then set it in front of you,"This page is a list of male dragon names, choose one to become yours. Know that your current form is now your base form, and therefore you will always default to this form when transformations on you wear off." Frauntus said
"Wait, wear off?" You asked
"Yes, familiar trnsformations are mostly temporary, some can be made permanent by the master of the familiar, but here that is against public familiar policy. The other book here is for you to keep, and explains how to be a familiar, considering you lack hands I'll give the book to Arc." Frauntus said, and gave the other book to Arc.
You nodded, and skimmed the book for names until one caught your eye,"I think I found one, how about Crataux? I have no idea what any of these words mean, but it sounds cool right?" You asked.
"Actually I'd say that fits you." Arc said
"It is settled then, I shall register you as soon as I get a copy of that mark you have." Frauntus said placing a hand on your mark, and a copy transferred to Frauntus's hand, and then onto a piece of paper.
"All is now completed, you two are dismissed to do as you please until tomorrow." Frauntus said, and Arc bowed to Frauntus, and you just sat there unable to bow without doing something inappropriate. Arc then proceeded to leave, and you followed him,"So what now?" You asked
"Well, I figured we go get you settled into my dorm, and then we can read up a bit on familiars, and we can get to know each other better, considering how stubborn you were on the way here." Arc said
"Hey, screw you that was the most painful experience I've ever had in my entire life so I had my reasons." You said
"I won't argue that, and again I'm sorry I am terrible at painless transformations." Arc said
"I wasn't finished, I was saying I had my reasons, but now I think we should at least have a mutual respect for each other now. That being said, don't expect me to shut up about that moment any time soon." You said
Eventually the two of you got to a room with open beds, ten to be exact, and divideds sorting the beds into two per section. "Why so many beds?" You asked
"Rooms like these house 5 students, and 5 familiars, some fmiliars are anthropomorphic, but none wear clothes regardless of gender. The only influence I had over your form was to make you a quadraped, and male, I thought you would have more dignity that way." Arc said
"Thanks, I guess? Where exactly is my bed?" You asked
"Follow me, yours is beside mine." Arc said leading you to a bed, and you lied down inside it. Arc then placed the book in front of you, and you realized something dire,"Umm, Arc I just realized I can't turn pages in general. My claws don't allow me to do so without ripping the pages." You said
"See if you can try using your muzzle, if not try licking the base of your claws." Arc said
Your muzzle was just as useless as your claws, but you tried licking them and it worked...mostly. "Well I just turned two pages, but as long as nothing sticks I should be fine." You said turning back a page. "This is easily going to be the most frustrating thing about this life." You said
"What about flying? I mean you could ask for help, and I know a friend who can but she says it's hard at first." Arc said
"Lets worry about that later, but for now I think that if this book is to stay in one piece you should help me turn pages." You said
"Alright, I guess that you're right Crataux, here we can learn together." Arc said helping you turn pages.
