"I only wish you could know your mother," sighed Mark as he drifted off to sleep.
Markie shifted uncomfortably, wondering what the fairies might do if they had heard the wish. But when he'd laid there for what felt like an eternity to his mind and nothing happened, Markie let his exhaustion win out and his eyes shut closed.
Puck, who had been watching and listening wondered. They had given the old adult what he'd wanted, now to give his son what he thought he wanted. Looking for inspiration on how to give Mark what he wanted, Puck flew between the tents. The adults that had been teenagers, but now were middle aged men had returned to their tent, and besides Puck wouldn't interfere with them, seeing as he'd already granted their wishes to not be bossed around anymore. That left seeing what other tents were occupied and with whom at the moment.
Ariel, Puck's little brother, came zipping along the next moment all in a hurry.
"Watch where you're flying or I'll turn you into an elf!" growled Puck.
"Sorry, it's just, I think I've found the next person!" insisted Ariel
Puck dismissed his little brother. "I've got a wish to work on already--the new father wants to give his new son a mother."
Ariel smiled with glee and said, "Then I have just such a wisher to be the mother!"
"Where?" asked Puck.
