For two hours or so you lay upon the roof of the chimney watching the area around you. The skeletal servant named Wortox that Master had mentioned briefly introduced itself to you before resuming it's daily chores around the house.
During those two hours, everything was mostly uneventful with the most exciting thing being two birds fighting each other midair until one of them fell to the ground, giving you a tasty soul to snack on before resuming your watch.
Then, you feel the nearby presence of two souls nearing you and the cottage. You wait quietly, reacting only as you feel them drawing closer.
Then, coming out of the forest road were two females, one a older woman who appeared to be in her twenties and a young female child who was gingerly holding her mother's hand as they walked.
You give a loud bark, as they approach the gate, and jump down from the roof towards the gate. They notice your black fur immediately and the older woman begins speaking to you in a way not unlike how a person would speak to a child.
"Oh, well hello there lil' doggy. Are you my husband's pet?" She says, moving her hand over the fence to try and pet you.
You give another fierce bark, making her flinch and pull back her hand, the child using her tip toes looks over the fence at you and giggles slightly at you making her mother flinch.
"I am Master Harauphar's familiar Wraith, state your titles and purpose of visiting here. If you deny so, then please leave immediately." You say, you figured this was your Master's wife and child but you had to look professional so you simply pretended not to know who they are.
A wave of realization and slight embarrassment crosses the mothers face before looking at you with a more polite look.
"Oh, I apologize... Wraith, I was not aware my husband had gotten another familiar. My name is Lyaa Harauphar, and this little angel" she says motioning to her daughter "Is my daughter Sara. We are your Master's family."
You nod "Very well, My Master is out for the evening and will return by dusk, he has specifically requested that none shall enter his cottage until he returns. In the meantime, you both can wait here."
Mrs. Harauphar gives you a confused look before replying "Um... excuse me? I am your Master's wife, why exactly can we not enter my husband's home? Before you came here, we could enter freely as we pleased." She asks.
"I have only been with your master for about five or six hours. I am new here but my Master specifically requested that no one, including his family may enter here, I apologize and am sure my Master and Your Husband has his reasons."
Mrs. Harauphar gives a sigh before taking her daughter by hand and leading them to a small bench by the gravel road. The child Sara waits for a few moments before standing up and exploring the outside area of the gate, picking mushrooms and playing with the grass.
You watch Sara with some concern, the air around your Master's cottage has a large amount of fel magic which can cause the nearby flora to be affected in strange ways. It would be best not to have a young child picking random plants off the ground.
You stand on the edge of the fence and yell out to Sara warningly
"Mistress Sara! I would suggest you not play with the local plantlife, my Master's magical wards have caused there to be a large amount of magical energy within the air itself, please return and sit with your mother."
Sara looks at you with a blank look on her face before giggling at you and resuming her playing. Her mother casually watches on, seemingly unconcerned with your warning.
Slight frustration builds up and you call out to her mother.
"Lady Harauphar! Could you please ask your child to resume sitting with you? It may not be safe for her to be by herself, even if you are only a yards away from her."
Mrs Harauphat answers back in a bored tone, not even looking at you as she replies
"My child is the daughter of a Warlock, she herself has some magical abilities within her body, I believe she will be fine." You notice the slight edge in her voice, you start to believe that she does not really like you after refusing to let her in, which in honestly, is fine by you.
"Very well, I trust that your judgement is well informed and sound." You call back. You climb up onto the roof and resume your watch, keeping an eye on Mrs. Harauphar and Sara. Hopefully Master Harauphar returns soon.
