Ah,well since we all know wizards are male, and female practitioners of the
magikal arts are called sorceress's,this lady wizard obviously had a background
story.
So back when all the boys and girls were writing the entrance
exams to the next level of school of higher magikal learning
Elvira had somehow found herself writing in a huge cavern with
one thousand guys, all writing the exams for
Wizards Apprentice.
She was certainly mortified, but since to raise her hand and say the
chaperones had placed her in the wrong exam room would have
led to her having to wait another year to get a chance
at writing the sorceress exam,
she decided to keep quiet and write the exam she'd been handed.
It was awfully difficult, since it had been written for boys, but she put her mind and education to use and ground through the next
nine hours as she went through the thick tome.
Finally she was done, and knowing signing her true name "Elvira' would be a dead giveaway
to her gender,
instead signed it as Al Verne Smith.
So a few weeks passed and one day the letter came in the mail, addressed to Al Verne Smith, telling the young man he'd
passed her wizards exam and was invited to study
at
<Dragon Slackers Middleschool.>
