...but of course we do! All people are evolved from animals, so why wouldn't they? It's not like I'm a gecko girl, after all. As a cheetah girl, my footpads are tough, and my legs are made for moving fast.
I almost wish sometimes that my legs weren't so fast, I realize, but no, really, I don't. Just because I was born a cheetah girl doesn't mean I have to sign up to be a track star. Off the top of my head, I can think of three cheetah women who are Olympic gymnasts, and there is one who is a famous writer. And the first female NASA scientist was a cheetah woman!
I get a little playful skip in my step as I pick up my pace. It sure feels good to run fast. It feels good to not be encumbered by clothes like boys. It feels goid to have my first part-time job. There seems to be little in life for me to wish for. What a silly thing that lady had said, suggesting I might be wishing for things.
I knit my furry brow, and I try to think of ANYTHING I could ever wish for. And then it dawns on me...
