The next day, the students filed in, excited to see what the class would have in store for them. The room looked mostly the same as before, with one notable exception; the lab tables were covered in a variety of things, from regular test tubes and beakers to an assortment of strange ingredients.
A moment after the bell rang, Ms. Tomlin walked in with her usual chipper attitude. As she took attendance, she spotted the same boy from before, and gave him a kind smile before addressing the class.
"Transformation isn't always as easy to accomplish as it was yesterday. You'll need to put in some work in order to make it happen." She gestured towards the assortment of lab equipment. "Today, everyone will be making a simple transformation potion. I've given you the ingredients and instructions for the animal of your choosing, not counting the more... interesting ones. And if you finish, I might let you try out your potion before class ends!" She winked.
