Robert fell back on the bed next to Cassie, who looked content for at least the moment. She brushed a bit of hair out of her eyes and smiled. "You've got questions."
"Yeah, why do you seem to know more? You just wished to be smart. Not knowledgeable."
"Reality change, to put it in simple terms. Now it's like I've always been this smart." She started running a finger along his thigh. "The real kicker is why you can remember the way things used to be. I'm still trying to figure that one out but I think it's because I was wishing for you to notice the changes. Not verbally but on some level."
"Huh..." Robert felt a little lost but thought he got the gist of what Cassie was saying. "So where are we? Do you live in some sort of mansion now?"
"No," Cassie said as she sat up. "We're in Antarctica."
"What!?"
"It's more populated than you remember. Sort of. More research stations at least." She got up and went to her bedside table to retrieve a towel that she kept there to start cleaning herself up. "When I made that wish in my stupid phase that women would never be cold I really didn't think about the repercussions. Or the benefits. I can walk around outside in nothing but a t-shit and panties. I might put on some socks if it gets real cold." She started walking away from the bed and to an alcove that Robert hadn't realised was a shower.
As she showered off in full view again he took in more of his surroundings. The only windows in the room were high up but they did look all white outside. Maybe they were in Antarctica. Or maybe Cassie was just messing with him. "What about the posters," he said as he looked at a picture of a particularly scantily clad Emma Watson with bright green hair.
"Those posters attract a powerful orgone energy field that I use to power this facility." Cassie said as she stepped out of a very fast shower. Robert wondered if it had even been a shower as her hair was perfectly dry. "If I ever run short on power I can just take two of those posters and rub them together."
"Really?"
"No. That's literally the stupidest thing I've ever heard." She gestured to the posters. "I just think they're pretty." She held up two fingers close together. "I think I may be a teensy bit bisexual. A lot of this started because I wished I was more popular with the guys at school. Seeing me make out with a few girls would probably have helped that."
Cassie shrugged into the skimpiest, most shortly cut lab coat that Robert had ever seen. "Now come on," she said, "we have work to do."
"Work?"
"Yes we're..."
