You sat there, and sighed,"Well I guess we both hope nothing's going to happen to him. Y'know because our lives are on the line and all. But considering you're this calm about it I guess it's alright, and for now I think I should confirm with Master Harauphar before experimenting with the infection." You said lying down.
"That would be the wise decision I suppose. Also Master Harauphar told me to tell you that you should consider this your new bed for multiple reasons. Two big ones are that obviously you are humanoid now, and the other is that if your mind was infected I could protect Master from you. No offense, it's just we don't know anything about what happened to you. Honestly I was hoping you would provide me insight about your capabilities." Dust said
"You know just as much as I do about those, I've been unconscious ever since I got this form, and I'm just now waking up and haven't experienced 10 minutes like this. Maybe I should just focus on dark magic, and leave this whole virus magic stuff alone." You said
"That would be unwise of you Wraith." Dust said
"Why? Nobody understands it, including me, and won't I be feared because of it?" You asked
"Well I cannot deny what you just said, but instead of accepting it why don't you embrace your potential? Think about it if you don't try to harness the infection then you squander your potential, and possibly will even lose yourself to the virus within you. In addition to that if you don't demonstrate that you're free from the virus then people will definitely think you are infected, and try to kill you like the rest of the virus." Dust said
"Umm, okay I see your point, and I agree actually. Hey Dust, what's your history with Master Harauphar, you know your origin?" You asked
"My origin?" Dust asked
"Yeah, what's your history with Master? What are your capabilities? Who exactly are you?" You asked
"My history?" Dust said and paused,"Well I guess it's good to pass the time, and you obviously remember yours, and told me too. Anyways where should I begin?"
"Just start from the beginning, from when you first became a familiar." You said
"Hm, very well then, I guess I began just like you did, summoned out of the blue, transformed against my will, you know the basis of the transformation. Only instead of soul eating Master gifted me with powerful psychic abilities including long range telepathy, and telekinesis over both physical and magical entities. Of course that means that if we were to become enemies than I would certainly reign superior, and especially more than because I'm adept, and you're more of a novice if anything." Dust said
"You know even though it's true it doesn't mean you need to point it out." You said
"Just testing my boundaries, especially with your condition. Anyways, I have trained with Master Harauphar, helped him gather materials I found on my spare time, and on one occasion watched after Mistress Sara. Anyways my abilities work along the lines of mindplay, and mental trickery." Dust said
"So basically anything involving the mind." You said
"Yes, anyways there's not much more to explain about me. Only that the area you wandered into I avoided purposely because of the infection, and you are lucky that you can harness it, or at least are able to combat it's creations." Dust said
"Well that's actually really interesting, my magic is along the lines of darkness, and souls." You said
"Interesting, I wonder if Master is thinking of having a successor? Of course I wouldn't ask him myself, I suggest you don't either for your own good." Dust said
"I figured that wouldn't be a good question to ask Master all things considered. Of course there's always Mistress Sara to consider if we're talking about successors." You said
"Indeed, but what shall we do now?" Dust asked
Suddenly there was a knocking on the door upstairs that could both your, and Dust's attention. "I should get that Master never knocks. Come upstairs if it sounds shady, or I have any problems, and don't come upstairs unless otherwise. Master Harauphar has ordered me to keep you from leaving the basement until he returns, and to keep anyone from it unless he says otherwise, or it's an emergency." Dust said, and you nodded watching Dust walk upstairs.
You heard Dust unlock the door, and it opened, and you heard Dust say...
