As Ted and Marci Green continued their walk through Moon Lake, even the casual observer would say they were a happy couple, which was extremely true now that Ted had joined were society and they finally consummated their marriage.
In their human forms, Ted was just slightly taller than his wife, but in their fursonas, the new weretiger was a good head taller than her, not that Marci minded one bit, for she loved being able to lay in his furry arms and nuzzle herself close under his chin.
"You know, I thought feeling your fur against my bare human skin was exotic, but you were right about the feeling of fur against fur," said Ted, looking at Marci lovingly.
"This is like a dream come true," replied his wife. "How long before we can move to Moon Lake permanently?"
"Unless some kind of transfer comes up that I'm eligible for that would put us closer, at least another 5 years," he answered. Then Ted paused before asking, "What do weres do when they reach retirement age as far as normals are concerned?"
"We have our ways," Marci replied slyly. "But we can talk about that and a whole lot of other stuff later," she added, thinking about the threesomes she had planned between herself and the Twists, along with the one Lila Carpenter wanted with the two of them; along with the Halloween party Saturday night and their future children. "I didn't tell my parents we were coming, let alone what we hoped to accomplish on this trip, and want to surprise them with the news."
MEANWHILE...
Tad Decker and Amy Howler were walking to their respective classes, but still talking about recent events whenever the two saw each other.
"I still don't understand why your brothers had their first transformation sooner than expected," admitted Tad.
"Does it matter?" Amy asked in return*. "They came through it just fine with brand new healthy fursonas. I just wish Austin Perry could have found a couple of girls to help Jay and Leon out better, but even if they had transformed this weekend like we first suspected they would, with everyone getting ready for either that big wedding the Skulk are worried about** or the town's Halloween party, he couldn't find any volunteers."
"Speaking of which," Tad began, trying to not be too nervous, "are we still on for Saturday night?"
"You better believe it!" Amy replied enthusiastically. "I've got my costume all picked out and am saving every dance for you," she added with a smile, as a stray thought about what life as Mrs. Amy Decker would be like briefly crossed her mind."
"Cool!" replied Tad happily. "Well, here's my turn," he said, kind of disappointed as they came to the intersection in the school hallway. "See you later!" promised Tad, as he went on to his next class.
MUCH EARLIER THAT MORNING IN SEATTLE...
Tom Herald slowly opened his eyes from the first good sleep he had in days.
Was it all a dream? he began to wonder, until his vision focused upon the beautiful werevixen staring at him.
"I love you!" declared the new werefox, before embracing Alice Stevens in his furry arms and kissing her madly.
"I love you too," she answered, upon finding a moment when their muzzle lips weren't pressed against each other.
"You've given me so much already," began Tom, holding her furry body against his. "Your virginity. My new life as a werefox. I know there's almost a full 20 years between us—"
"Which doesn't matter to us weres," replied Alice, nuzzling closer to her new mate, thanks to the growing bonds between them.
"I feel so different now. Not just because of this..." said Tom, briefly holding up one paw for both to see. "But even with this new life/soul mate bond between us, I still want to make it official. Alice Stevens, will you marry me?"
"Oh Tom! YES!" she cried happily, expressing tears of joy as the now engaged couple closely embraced each other, which led to... other things.
Alice Stevens was late opening up her Seattle costume shop that Friday morning while Tom Herald barely made it to his first sports assignment of the day, but neither cared.
Over a hurried breakfast, Tom announced that after his football coverage ended with the conclusion of Sunday's game, he was going to request his editor move him to the political beat, thus starting the fulfillment of the predictions for their joint future his inner were hinted at.***

*But personally, I think it might have something to do with two new members joining were society on the same night for the best reason of all: love.
