Jimmy lowered a plastic bag over the hanger, and tied it at the bottom. He added the yellow NCR paper receipt to the bag and stapled it in place. Then he stowed Chad's gear in the saddlebags on his bicycle, and put some into his own backpack. Then he walked his bike out of the field house with the plastic bagged athlete draped across his back. Chad felt so helpless staring out of the plastic across the field at his school and his friends scrimmaging on the field. Jimmy locked the field house door, and climbed on his bike and started pedaling.
He was almost to his family's cleaners when his cell phone rang. He tapped the bluetooth receiver in his ear.
"Jimmy Chan, do you know anything about a missing cycling singlet," asked his mother over the phone, "Brent Mathews is here to pick it up, and we can't find it."
