Nate watched with fascination as his brother Rick resumed eating the dog food. With each mouthful, Rick's body reformed and became more doglike. He watched the dark brown fur slowly grow in over Rick's body as his ears grew out and flopped over. His feet stretched and reformed into hind paws as his limbs and body slowly morphed into canine proportions. In fact, watching his brother's humanity slip away in front of his eyes left him feeling a bit excited. He adjusted his jeans as he watched Rick go for another mouthful.
Rick looked up at Nate and let out a low whine. It was clear that this transformation was becoming quite painful for him. Nate went over to the cupboard and pulled out a bowl. He went to the sink and filled it up and then set it down on the floor for Rick. Rick lapped up the water with his now much longer tongue and then resumed eating from the bag of dog food. Nate continued to watch the transformation, completely transfixed. Rick pulled his face out of the bag now, his face clearly starting to push out into a canine snout. He went in for another mouthful, the sickening pops and cracks continuing. When he pulled his head out again, it was clear the transformation was complete and Rick was now a slightly larger than average chocolate lab. Nate couldn't quite believe what he had just witnessed and yet there it was. His brother had become a dog. His dog. That was the deal. And yet there was another feeling, it was...jealousy? Yes, it was jealousy. Nate felt jealous that his brother got to experience such an incredible and amazing transformation and he didn't. Not that he wanted to be permanently turned into a dog. Or did he?
He reached down and petted his new dog and scratched him between the ears. He then reached over and picked up the bag of dog food. There was still half a bag left. I could eat the other half and join him as a dog, thought Nate. I could transform too. But then he thought that would leave his parents with two kids who have turned into dogs. Still Nate couldn't help but wonder if he ate the food too, what kind of dog he would turn into. Then, a third option occurred to him. He knelt down and started petting Rick. He hadn't transformed into some mangy mutt, but a pure bred labrador who in theory would be fully trained since they used to be human. If he could find other boys that wanted to be dogs and more of the dog food, he could make a fortune selling pure bred dogs. And yes, he could watch each of them transform just as he had so enjoyed with Rick. Yes, that was a wonderful option as well.
