Allyson gazed out on her expansive ranch, watching her beloved Clydesdales graze in the early morning sunlight. She paid special attention to her prize-winning horse, Rex, a black-furred, white-feathered stallion. She was gearing up to compete with him in an upcoming agility competition in the county fair, and expected first prize...

"-k, not like it's rea-," Jen paused, having been startled by her reality instantly shifting. "-eal..." she trailed off, taking in her new surroundings. She checked her upper torso, everything felt normal, but then she felt some hairs brush against the small of her back, and noticed the sheen of black fur in front of her, and a horse's neck and head...
Jen was instantly met with a flurry of new sensations. Her vision doubled as she gained control of the horse's body, feeling her four new feet, her new, enhanced senses of smell and hearing coming from the horse's head, along with a dizzying new set of blurrier vision pairing with her own. She felt her horse stop chewing, the grass tasting surprisingly good. She could smell so much more now, and hear minute sounds from 100s of feet away! This was overwhelming, and Jen screamed, feeling her front head whinny and herself rear up and slam back down. She heard a voice, her trainer, call out, "Whoa, Jennifer Rex Smith, calm down!"
Jen breathed deeply for a few seconds, adjusting to her new perspective. She looked around with her human head, noticing just how far up she was, while feeling her soft fur with her human arms. Jen noticed she instantly could control her foreign horse body, the fine, practiced control developed in Rex's brain being accessed by Jen's. She noticed she had full control of her entire body, Rex's brain existing only as a second bank of memory for her horse half, being ruled over by her own brain. She then turned to her trainer, who was walking over to her holding a pair of reigns.
"Who, who are you," Jen questioned, not knowing her trainer's name.
"Silly goose, what's gotten into you? First you rear up like that, then you forget my name... soon you'll forget we have these daily training sessions before you go off to school!" the small woman jokingly punched the side of Jen's horse torso as she put the reigns onto Jen's horse head. "God, this thing is uncomfortable," she thought to herself quickly.
Jen was flooded with memories, of growing up half-colt half-girl, being teased in elementary school, but then star of the track and field team in middle school, and now training to run races - all with the support and help of her trainer and family friend, Allyson "Ally" Leitz.
"Oh, yeah, Ally, how could I forget!" Jen said, as Ally led her over to the horse trailer she takes to and from school every morning, her mom waiting outside. On the way they discussed her exercise plan and continuing her goals until the competition.
Her mom and Ally helped load Jen into the horse trailer, a mirror and change of shirts provided so Jen could get ready for school. She took off her exercise top and sports bra, finally seeing her new body naked in the mirror, seeing how her human torso merged where her hip would've been with the hips of the horse! She let her arms fall as straight as they could, noticing that her human body stopped about at her elbows. Her arms were forced out about twice as wide as her shoulders because of the width of her horse torso, however. She quickly put on another bra and t-shirt, accidentally slapping her horse torso with her arms as she had forgotten how short her human torso now was. She spent the rest of the ride inspecting her new body in the mirror, playing around with using only her horse eyes, or her human eyes, and feeling her new, great weight shift.
Soon they arrived at school. Jen was led out, and the reigns were removed. Jen waved good-bye to her mom and trainer as she walked up the ramp to school, ready to begin the day.
