Once a beautiful and popular but cruel teenage girl, Mary Smithson, is now owned as a pet by Cody Barkley, the creepiest boy in school, after being turned, by her secret fantasy and the Chronivac, into an 8 year old anthropomorphic dragoness. Helpless and speechless, she now cowers naked, save her collar, on the floor of her new master's bedroom, which is lit by a green novelty-light that buzzes constantly.
She shifts unhappily on the floor, finding it cluttered and miserable. Game cards and old, likely forgotten toys and game-consoles lie everywhere, and Mary swears there are dust-bunnies in this environment that are larger than her tiny, 45 Lb. body. The dust here on the floor is bad enough to choke her, causing her to cough a few times.
To her horror, as she is lifted up off of the floor from coughing violently, she realizes that she has been lying on a semen-stained printout of what might well be her doppelganger. Freezing, Mary puts her paw down on it to hold it down. She suspects that this dragoness might be gray in a different light, but the dragoness is curled up in much the same position as herself and looking scared and submissive. {{Is this what you're attracted to?}} she thinks in her thoughts as she weeps.
As she traces her claw over the outline of the printout, though, she realizes that the dragoness is also beautiful. An object of desire, true, but gorgeous over her entire body. The little dragoness on the page looks almost like a fairy or an angel of kindness. Mary tries to put out of her mind what Cody did to soil the image, and she remembers for a moment why a guilty part of her had wanted this fantasy so much, even though she was too scared to believe the Chronivac could make it so very real.
A bolt of shock shoots through her, though, all of a sudden. Mary realizes that this really is her. This dragoness is the one that she had seen him drawing a picture of in that art class, now finished and shaded in with remarkable detail. While Mary's truly mean friend, Stephanie, had giggled hilariously at Cody's expense at her first sight of it, the image had been planted permanently in Mary's mind. It had been emblazoned upon her consciousness, and the source of that image had been buried just as quickly, forever haunting her dreams.
Mary realizes she has no choice but to accept that this is her fate. Cody owns her now. Her parents have rejected her, not wanting some dirty dragoness in their house, and now she has to figure out how to keep Cody from wanting to send her away to some horrible shelter where unwanted anthros are euthanized. Her life depends on making Cody want to keep her, she realizes. This is what being owned means. Being owned means one can be gotten rid of, and that thought is terrifying to Mary as she realizes how precarious that position is.
However, Mary realizes she will no longer be able to tolerate lying on the floor, and she decides, reluctantly, to climb up into the bed with her owner, Cody. Regretting everything she had ever said or thought about how gross Cody must be, she attempts to snuggle up in bed with him. Not being quite able to fit on the part of the bed where his elbows are sprawled-out, Mary has to make do with lying curled-up at the foot of Cody's bed, just like the lowly animal she now is.
The night wears on, and soon she sleeps. In the morning...
