"Hey, mom, Eleanor, C-could I look at all that clay?"
Eleanor and your mom give you a curious look. Your mom looks at the dolly. "Why? Are..."
Eleanor cuts in. "I'm sorry, dearie, my class is going to be starting soon I need to get this clay to my classroom very soon." Eleanor starts rolling the dolly off.
"W-Wait!" You grab the keys from your mom's hand. You can't just let Keith and the cop go to the pottery class. Who knows if you'd be able to get them back. You needed to do something now before anything weirder happened.
You hit the button on the keys.
The dolly stops rolling off. Eleanor has disappeared. You glup. "Jeeze. Mom, I can explain, just give me a..."
You realize your mom has disappeared too. You look down and see a pile of dog poo on the ground where your mom had been standing. You walk over next to the dolly and see another pile of dog poo where Eleanor had been standing.
Well, you definitely didn't keep anything weirder from happening, but at least you eliminated the immediate threat of Keith and the cop being taken to art class.
What were you thinking?! You'd just turn your mom and a college professor into piles of dog poop!
Well, Eleanor was only a teacher at a community college so maybe it wasn't that bad.
"M-Mom, Eleanor, I'm so sorry about this. I promise I'll fix this as soon as possible. OK?"
There's no response from the two piles. A fly buzzes around your mom.
The more you used the keys, the more complicated the situation got. You almost didn't want to use the keys, but you didn't know of any other device to try and change everyone back and you couldn't just leave everyone like this.
Well, at least there was no yelling and panicking. Maybe you just needed to take a deep breath and take careful consideration of the situation.
