"I'll do it." Mary was a bit hesitant about becoming five again, but trusted her friend. Tricia could've left them toddlers for even a bit longer but had aged them to 10. Besides, she was really curious as to what Tricia was trying out with the Ring. She hoped that this time she would be able to remember being older.
"I'll do it too." Rachel said cheerfully. She didn't know if they were going to to do any more age changes afterwards so she wanted to try this as much as possible. Rachel didn't even remember either time it happened.
"But only one of you can have the shirt." Tricia reminded them.
"Don't worry, I can stay a child for a while longer. I want to do this." Rachel almost bounced where she was seated, her ash blonde shifting with her. "But I want to remember this time. . .please." She added the please at the severe look Tricia was giving her.
"Let's do this." Mary was eager to get this done quickly.
"Countdown everyone." Tricia smiled as everyone nodded. This was the first test to see how quickly they can get younger.
"10 . .9." Rachel watched as Mary's shirt became more covering even as she felt her own shift over her.
"8." Mary could see Rachel smile even more brightly as she get smaller and more childish.
"7." Rachel saw more freckles appear on Mary's face as the face became more childish.
"6." Mary saw Rachel's feet come off the ground where she was seated even as she felt her own do the same shortly after.
"And 5." Both felt a bit foggy in their mind as childish thoughts became more prevalent when they became younger than 6. But not too badly if they focused just a bit.
They both looked to Samantha, Claudia, and Mika who looked big and Tricia who looked like an adult to them. The strange thought going through their mind was how the clothes Tricia was wearing was fitting her perfectly now while changing styles to look like something a teenager would wear.
They stood up to find that they only reached Tricia's waist and their shirts nearly reached their feet. Tricia looked at them for a moment and then found a cell phone that had gone through the same changes. Where it had been something a woman in her mid-twenties would wear, it was now obviously a teenager's phone.
Tricia made a call quickly and they all listened carefully.
"Yes, I'm just letting you know that Mary is behaving well. No problems at all. I'll be glad to stay here until you get here tonight." A pause as another voice spoke. "Thank you for letting me stay here overnight. It would be a pain for my mom to come that late. I'll talk to you later. Bye."
They all looked at Tricia in shock as the teen shut off the phone. "This ring doesn't just change ages, it changes reality if you want it to. So this is what I'm thinking. . .
