As Tad and Amy walked in the front door of Tad's house, they were instantly hit with a waft of a delicious smell. To a canine were, this smell was one of the best things on earth...well, at least to Tad. Quickly, Tad put his book bag down by the front door and rushed out towards the patio. The door was open, so that explained why the two weres smelt it so much better than they would have if the door was closed. On the patio was Jen Decker. She was standing in front of a grill as she was grilling steak.
"Steak?" Tad asked happily. "I haven't had steak in so long!"
"I knew you'd love it," Jen Decker said, smiling. "But this isn't just for you and me tonight. We're having guests tonight: Agent Ted Green and his wife Marci."
"Agent Green?" Tad asked. "He was the guy who was looking for...you know.., right? What is he doing in Moon Lake?"
"He was," Jen said. "It turns out that his wife was a were, and he was recently turned into a were himself thanks to a friend of the Twists. I wanted to thank him for capturing that awful man."
"But...Amy and I had a date planned for tonight..." Tad said.
Just then, Amy came outside and put her hand on Tad's shoulder. "It's okay Tad," she said. "We can eat dinner and then go on out date. That is, if it's okay with you mom that I stay for dinner."
"Of course you can dear!" Jen Decker said with a warm smile. "I had a feeling this might happen, so I threw on a few extra steaks."
"Thank you very much Ms. Decker," Amy said. "I'll go and call my mom to tell her."
