Chronivac Version 4.0

3D-drawings

added 8 years ago O

Matt looked at the small box lying on his doormat and saw a white delivery bus drive away. It was strange, because he hadn't ordered anything online. Also the bus didn't have any name of a company on its sides. He was then distracted by the box again. On a small sticker on top of the brown box it said: "Chronivac company: 3D testing device 4.0." He picked it up and put it on his desk, right next to his computer.

Matt filled a cup with leftover coffee from the afternoon out of the kitchen and walked back to his desk, turning on his computer. As he sat down, his eyes fell on the small box, lying next to his drawing pad. He looked for some scissors and saw a pair inside a penholder. He had to clean up his desk again, everything was where it shouldn't be, except the computer, that thing barely moved inches. Good thing about his computer however was that it could save a lot of needed data. He opened the box with the pair of scissors, removing the duct tape that made sure the stuff inside wouldn't come out. As the top lid of opened, he peeked inside. What Matt saw, was a small disk, wrapped in plastic. Matt grinned at the sight, appearantly the people who sent him this didn't know where to find actual CD-cases.

Matt let the computer engine run a detailed virusscan on what the disk contained, but to his surprise, the engine said it was completely safe. As he installed it a menu screen like you would only see in the 90's introduced the program: "Chronivac V4.0." It said. There were a few options on the screen he could choose between, but one caught his attention, one that said "3D-design".

Matt clicked on the option and after loading a few seconds, the program opened a new tab with some more options. Three to be exact: "Add 3D-design, Load 3D-design, Delete 3D-design". Matt was curious what this program was meant to do. Was he supposed to design something? Matt saw the option to load a design was also available, and as he clicked on it, he couldn't believe his eyes.

Matt was flabbergasted. On the screen stood an incredibly detailed, completely identical, 3D model of himself. "What is this supposed to mean? How is this such a detailed creation of me?" He closed the tab, his eyes still wide from what he saw. The 3D model had the same exact clothes on as him at that moment, white shorts and a grey pajama shirt. He had no excuse, it was late at night, and he was actually planning to go to sleep. This however, made him wide awake again. He took a sip of his cold coffee, making a face in disgust, but trying to ignore it, and moved his mouse to the tab which said "Add 3D-design".

"If it can make such a detailed representation of me, why couldn't I do it, I'm an artist after all." But what should he make?
