Tom pulled his car into the driveway of Alice's house at around 6:00 that night. He opened his door and stepped out of his car before walking around to the other side of the car and opened the passenger door. He reached into the car and pulled out a few cardboard boxes filled with a few of his things. Closing the door with his foot, Tom carried the boxes up the driveway and to the porch before setting them down on the porch to knock on the door. It was a few seconds before Alice opened up the door.
"Good evening my sexy werefox," she said, kissing Tom passionately. "How was your day?"
"Good," Tom said, kissing his mate back. "I would have been home sooner, but I was back at my apartment gathering a few of my things into boxes. I figured that since we're engaged, we might as well live under the same roof, and I figured it'd be better if we lived in an actual house rather than a small apartment."
"That's a great idea," she said, picking up a few of the boxes while Tom got the rest. "When will you call the moving company?"
"Tomorrow morning," he said as he walked through the door and closed the front door behind him. "So, did anything exciting happen to you today?"
"Well, I called my parents to tell them that we're engaged, and they're thrilled! They can't wait to meet you."
"I'm glad to hear that they're thrilled about it," Tom said. "My parents won't be too thrilled to go. I've been married a few times before, but they've all ended poorly. They told me quite a few times that maybe I wasn't meant to be married..."
Alice smiled and kissed Tom. "But do you think that's true now?"
"Hell no," Tom said happily. "You've given me the greatest gift of all time: being able to be with you for centuries to come."
"I'm glad you feel that way Tom," Alice said.
