It's been about a week since you arrived in Japan on your college study abroad program. You've been enjoying your classes, making friends, even met some girls you might like to ask out. Your host family is nice too, but you can't help but notice some things a little odd about them.
They seem to bend over backwards to make their son, who is a first year in high school, happy. Even his siblings don't have the usual sibling dynamics. It's like they're scared of him. He doesn't seem that scary to you, but you don't know him that well. He spends most of his time holed up in his room. You've barely spoken two words to him.
"[your name], can you take this dinner up to Kazuto?" asks your host mother.
"Sure," you say, you were about to head up anyway.
You knock on the door and it opens a crack.
"Hey, here's your dinner," you say.
"Thank you," he says. He reaches his hand out, but it's just too short to reach the plate. You step forward, and trip into the door, opening it and sending you both falling down inside.
You get up and take a look around. There's anime merchandise all over the room. Posters, box sets, body pillows, you name it. He also appears to be reading an H doujinshi on his computer.
"No, no, no!" he exclaims. "No one is supposed to see this. Oh, this is so embarrassing."
"Hey," you say, "It's no big deal. I like anime too. Sure this is a little overboard, but..."
