Colin decided not to deal with the stairs, up or down. He ran through the room, pulling open drawers and rummaging through cabinets.
He found plenty of supplies: canned food, bags of chips, bottles of water and soda, extra bullets for his revolver, but not much in the terms of more weapons. He ducked around under the desk, over the kitchen table, in the shop... the whole place looked like it had been cleaned out of guns.
"Darn it... there has to be something!" Colin grumbled under his breath as to not draw attention to himself. In the corner of the nearby living room was a piano.
Colin decided to mess with it, try to play something. But as he pressed a key, there was a thump instead of music. He opened it up to a pleasant surprise. Inside was a two barrel 50 gauge shotgun with a sawed-off barrel with plenty of ammo.
Colin slipped the pistol in his pocket amd loaded up the shotgun, cocking it. The gun was weighty, definitely had some stopping power. Colin loaded up the extra ammo and slipped out the front door, heading into the woods.
