A full night as a raccoon was enough to convince James to not upset the wizard any further then what he is. when his nemesis returned with Kayla the following day that he knew immediately what he had in mind as he took off the cloth off the cage.
"morning you little creator. So have you reconsider about your options now?" the wizard asked as his large face was peering into James' cage residence. "a month of cooperation in return for your eventual restoration to humanity? Or would you rather spend the rest of your days as a raccoon?"
lowering his head in defeat that James made a soft chitter sound to make his answer.
"very well." the wizard smiled with satisfaction. "a sensible response at last!"
he then helped James out of his cage that the wizard then waved his and over James while muttered an incantation, But nothing seen to happen once he had finished. had the spell actually worked?
"there we go. your all set and good to go." the wizard smiled satisfactorily.
"But wait. Why am I still a raccoon?" James began as he was then confused before realizing "Hey, I got my voice back!"
"How very observant of you!" the wizard snorted "After your behavior you did from yesterday that I felt like you may be a bit of a handful as you are now then your former size, besides, a talking raccoon may be a more impressive thing to see then an oversized creator. Nonetheless, the deal is basically the same that within one months time is where you'll be restored to your original form. As long as you continue to cooperate of course."
James was to scared of the wizard to argue with him that he had to admit to himself of regaining the ability to talk as it was a huge bonus, but he still couldn't get used to being so small. Apart from anything else that he felt extremely vulnerable at the size of a potential plush toy, but then again, a month may not be as bad after all a a talking raccoon as it was in the wizards best interest to keep him safe that he figured for now to go along with this crazy situation. at least for now that is.
