Janet looked around her. She was floating in space, f**king space. An ordinary person would’ve succumbed to asphyxiation long ago. Yet here she was. She knew she should be heading back home, but the longing to explore was just too much. Where to go first, she asked herself. After a moment she decided to start with the celestial body nearest to Earth. She turned her attention to the Moon and propelled herself towards it using her leg muscles. She felt a rush as she flew towards the moon at approximately a eighth the speed of light. Just over ten seconds later she stopped just a few miles above the light side of the moon. She then slowly descended and gracefully soared over the moon’s surface looking for a suitable place to land. After about five minutes she came to a valley between two mountain ranges.
That’s one small step for Janet, she mentally joked as she planted her feet near a group of enormous boulders in the middle of the valley. The largest of the rocks was about the size of a ten story building. She went over to that rock and placed her right hand on the bottom. It took absolutely zero effort for her to lift the building-sized rock off the ground. She then flew to about a thousand feet above the surface holding the 2500 ton boulder with just her right index finger. A gentle push with her hands sent it into space.
As she watched the boulder fly off into the void, Janet lowered herself. As she landed, she looked down at her chest and saw she was still wearing the magic amulet responsible for her transformation. She took off the amulet and held it to her face. Incredible that what seemed to be an ordinary piece of jewelry could alter her destiny. Just a few hours ago she was a normal, plain teenage girl. Now she was a full-grown superwoman. And there was no way, no f**king way, she was going to go back to what she was before.
Janet smiled as she decided what she will do now.
