Katie saw the Sorcerer Spectra smirking before she saw what was on the banner sized card. It was... a Sun Flower? But wait. There is no stem, just the flower head. Katie simply looked in confusion until she felt something growing on her face. Sorcerer Spectra helpfully pulled out a hand mirror out of no were and held it in front of Katie's face to show Katie her changes. Katie let out a gasp as she saw black fur growing on her face. As she felt black fur grow all over her face, her vision start to look weird. The lights became brighter as every thing else becomes darker. But before she could question her eyesight any further, Katie gasps again as she saw and felt bright yellow flower peddles grow around the sides of her face. She gave out a shy wince as she saw her original hair fall off her head. Instead of being frightened over losing her hair, Katie was more interested in touching her bald head and ram horns. That's when she noticed the skin on her head looking more green and feeling more rough. Before she can contemplate this more, Katie winced as she felt her skull round and flatten out. She then felt her new sunflower shaped head tilt upward as it aligns with her human neck. With the way her new head is structured she can't look foreword or down. That is until her human neck tripled in length and arched forward to allow her look around with her sunflower head.
Nate doesn't know what to think about his sister's head becoming a flower head. On one hand, he was concerned about his sisters safety and what she is thinking right now, on the other hand, he is beginning to regret being too shy to volunteer. Katie definitely doesn't look afraid. He wondered what would it be like if he was on the stage instead of his sister. The only thing that hasn't changed yet is Katie's human eyes, nose, mouth, ears, a long human neck and ram horns. If a adult was here, they would question if her brain chemistry is still the same.
Despite this, the kids looked confused.
"I thought stupid plants weren't animals" Caleb muttered. His sister completely ignored him but Sorcerer Spectra hasn't.
"I assume some of you are confused. The cards aren't restricted to just animals with fur, scales or feathers. Plants are animals too. As well as you and me. Everything that's alive are considered animals. But I also include inanimate objects to the deck to spice things up. Any inanimate changes Katie might get will be considered alive. After all, I don't always follow the rules like other adults." Not everyone seem to fully comprehend what Sorcerer Spectra just said but the kid with glasses seemed to understand.
Meanwhile, Sorcerer Spectra turned back to Katie. "Hey Katie. Want to see something cool? Close your eyes."
Katie did as she was told and gasped again as she can still see even with her eyes closed. Were there is light, there is a bright yellow, and were there isn't light, there is only pitch black. Katie opens her eyes and still finds the lights more brighter then usual.
"I see you noticed huh. When you closed your eyes, you can still see light because your black fur is seeing for you. Thats one of the good things of being a Sunflower!" But Katie wasn't looking. She found her self staring a the stage lights in a daze like a real sunflower get drawned to sunlight.
In fact, this whole experience sorts of reminds Katie of when she used to fantasized what it was like to have animal parts when she was 8 years old. It was only for a day and it mainly because she was curious with what it was like to to have a wolf's paw but she forgot that day until now. She began to remember the body parts she wanted and she began to fantasized more different body parts.
Katie was taken out of her thoughts as five new cards shown up in front of her face. With her childhood fantasies in mind, she looked at the cards.
