As you followed Herb through the forest you noticed that he was interested in your previous existing life before this one, and he proceeded to ask you lots of questions about it. Of course you only answered the questions that you were comfortable answering, but you never really drew any attention towards your tail until Herb asked,"So how's the new tail for ya?"
You paused before answering and looked back to see your tail curled around like you've seen some dogs do naturally instead of letting it sway. "I...actually haven't noticed it much until you brought it up. It's like having an extra limb that's just for decoration almost." You said swinging your tail around.
"Well you have so much to learn about yourself then, so I'm just going to go easy on you once we get there." Herb said
"Where is there? And what do you mean by going easy on me?" You asked
"You honestly think that you aren't going to have to fight constantly do you?" Herb asked face palming
"Well yeah, but I'm not much of a fighter, and when I say that I'm being complementary towards myself." You said
"That's why I'm taking you where we're going right now, so you can learn how to fight and use your magic properly." Herb said
"Okay, just know what to expect out of me alright?" You said and Herb gave you a look that you couldn't read the expression of then continued walking.
Eventually you got to a cliff that had a tree overtop of it that was overgrown and covering most of the hillside. "We're here." Herb said
"Ummm, what do you mean? I mean there's that noticeable tree there, but besides that little landmark I don't see much." You said
"Exactly, just watch real quick." Herb said and he pulled a book out of his shirt that looked similar to yours, and opened it. "Retract!" Herb shouted and a green flicker of light appeared around his hands when he said that. Suddenly you looked up and saw thr tree roots moving upwards and shrinking revealed a secret passage into a cave.
"There we are, just one of my many abilities that help me manage herbivore life, specifically with what consumption." Herb said
"How does that work?" You asked
"Just think of it this way, I'm the herbivore warrior, and since herbivores only consume plant life then I can manipulate it, you follow me?" Herb asked
"Oh I see, that makes sense now, but what's with the hole?" You asked
"Follow me and you'll learn, just follow the torchlight and wait for me." Herb said
You went into the pitch black cave and saw a torch in the distance, and you walked over to it and stood there unable to see the path ahead. You looked back to see Herb making the plants grow to seal the passage, and he made his way back to you. "Follow me, we're almost there." Herb said
"I can't see anything in front of us." You said, then Herb grabbed your wrist then said,"But I can,"
Herb then began making his way into the darkness while dragging you along by the wrist, and the two of you made a few turns through the darkness until there was a light and you both walked into it. at first the light around you was blinding, but your eyes adjusted quickly and you stood shocked in the face of what appeared to be a full fledged martial arts dojo.
"Welcome to a really old dojo that I found here, land animals don't know about this place, but we do get avian visitors often. Avana comes here too sometimes, and there's a few regular visitors from the skies. Otherwise I restored this place with help from a few avian friends." Herb said
"So what do we do now?" You asked
"We can practice combat, there's a library here here if you want to read up on life here, or you could read your own book of spells." Herb said
"What about the avian animals that you mentioned earlier?" You asked
"There's not many around now, but I'll introduce you in time. Also once we do introduce you to one, then they will probably get the news out quickly about a fifth warrior from the legends." Herb said
"Legend?" You asked
"Read about it sometime, but seriously what do you want to do?" Herb asked
