"Good morning, Tyler." Mrs. Paulson waved, then chuckled to herself and went inside. He wondered what she found amusing - apparently his being a anthro horse was normal. Then he realized he was naked! But apparently that was normal as well. Actually, the thought of wearing clothing was disturbing, wrong. He must have the instincts and general attitudes of a horse now, but since it was all 'normal,' he found that he did not care.
As he clopped towards school, a tall, sandy-haired boy about Ty's age waved and came over to walk beside him. David had been in Ty's class for years, but they did not really know each other. At least, before. Now David reached up and grinned as he rubbed under Ty's chin. "How are you this morning, fellah?" It felt good, and Ty found himself snuffling the boy's hair and finding the scent familiar and comforting. Dave reached into a pocket and pulled out a starlight mint, which he unwrapped and held up to Ty's muzzle. Ty sniffed and then lipped the candy up, finding the taste very strong, but pleasant.
"You should not keep giving him candy!" A red-haired girl joined them, also reaching up to rub Ty's chin. Tammy. He knew her as well, but only by sight. She pulled out an apple and held it up as he automatically bit off chunks and chewed them. David smirked. "Like that's much better?"
"Apples are good for horses!" Tammy scowled. "Candy is pure sugar. It's bad for his teeth!"
Ty finished off the apple, even eating the core. These humans were friends, and he accepted them as such. Yet they were talking to him and treating him as if he were an animal. That should bother him, shouldn't it? Three more kids joined his group before they reached school, two more girls and a boy, all known to him by name, but now obviously 'friends.' He got chin rubs, chest pats, even a rump rub from one Asian teen who let his fingers tease Ty's anus as he rubbed the jutting equine buttocks with his palm.
They headed into homeroom, where David guided Ty to a large wooden bench at the back. There was straw piled in this corner, and a bucket of water hanging from a peg on the wall. It all looked slightly worn, as if it was newer than the school, but not brand new. That was because it had been put in for Ty last year when he started high school. Ty blinked as he 'remembered' that. He had always been a horse morph. Raised with humans children as part of an experiment. He settled on the bench, and David swung down a table with a built-in keyboard that had oversized keys. Needed by Ty's thick, three-fingered hands. A monitor swung out as well, giving Ty full ability to take notes. David rubbed under this chin again, and sat down at the normal desk right beside Ty. Apparently, he was Ty's 'keeper.'
