After Tad and Amy's fun filled night, Tad walked his girlfriend home so they could both prepare for the Halloween dance later that night.
Currently, Tad was getting his costume prepare for the night by putting it on the counter in the bathroom in his room so he could put it on after he took a shower to freshen up later in the day. After he got his costume out, he went downstairs and sat on the couch with Jen.
"Hey mom," he said. "What are you doing?"
"Just watching the news," she said. "How was your night?"
"It was fun," Tad said happily. "It feels nice knowing that I'm finally in a place where I don't have to hide my true self. I can finally be a normal 17 year old boy and have a girlfriend."
Jen pat her son's back and smiled. "I'll be honest, when I first saw Amy, I wasn't sure if she was going to be right for you. I was afraid she was just going to use you for her own gain, but I really got to know her, and I must say that you two are perfect for each other."
"You were just looking out for me," Tad said. "I appreciate that mom. You know, Amy's been talking about our future together. She thinks we'll get married and have kids of our own in the future. Do you think that's true? I want to make her happy, and I want to be happy."
Jen smiled and hugged her son. "Tad," she said. "You two are perfect for each other. She's a keeper, so don't loose her. Do what your father did for me: protect her with all your power."
Tad smiled. "Thanks mom."
