"Why Jack? What kind of name is Ashi?" Strawberry asked in confusion.
"Samurai Jack..." Colin said.
She didn't get it.
"Gotta get back? Back to the past? Ring any bells?" Colin asked.
She stared, not getting it at all.
"Hey guys! Guess who got the Samurai Jack complete series collection from a store.... it's me!" a scrawny guy with brown hair and eyes said.
"Yeah, Chester, we'll watch it with you." Colin said.
"What are we watching again?" Strawberry asked.
"One of the most famous Cartoon Network Shows ever made." Colin said as he guided her to Chester and Adeline's room.
Colin saw Strawberry's eyes lock to the screen in anticipation as that timeless opening began:
"Long ago in a distant land..."
******************
A couple months had past, and it was the day of the ultra sound. And Colin was awoke by the alarm his girlfriend had for months now.
"GOTTA GET BACK. BACK TO THE PAST. SAMURAI JACK! *Jack, Jack... Jack, Jack.*"
Ever since Strawberry had seen the opening three episodes, she was hooked on the show. When she got the chance too, she swooped up anything related to the show. On the dresser were Jack and Aku Vinyl Pop figs, a poster on the wall... she even insisted he have a Katana on him when going out to kill bimbos.
He didn't exactly hate this, it was nice to be able to talk to her about something, but you could swear she was getting a tad carried away.
At the ultrasound was the news that Colin didn't expect: stand out.
"Twins?" he asked.
"Yup. A boy and a girl." Jack said. "No one else has a pregnancy like hers."
Strawberry was elated to hear this (jeez that name still sounded stupid, even if they had gotten closer).
"Soon enough we'll have our own little Jack and Ashi." she squealed.
"Jack and Ashy?" Jack asked.
"Named after characters from Samurai Jack, a show our generation watched and loved... and for the record, the girl's name is A-S-H-I, Ashi, not Ashy." Colin said.
Jack nodded and made note of it.
"HEELLLLLP!" Jack's wife called out as a bimbo grappled her while being drug into the backyard. There were no guns around.
"Colin, the Sword!" Strawberry said.
Colin grabbed the katana and unsheathed it. He rushed forward, hacking the bimbo's head off in one clean stroke. He simply stood there: that was the first kill he made with the sword. He usually used a gun, but this sword had a feel to it, real weight, no ammo to worry about, it was great! Jack praised him for it, and everyone was happy. From then on, the katana was his melee weapon of choice, one he never left the old people's home without. And befitting the animated samurai he was named for, Jack Bennett would use his father's sword someday...
