(Just to correct anyone who reads the title of this chapter. I am only naming it that because this series mentions a werewolf in an earlier chapter.)
You really did want to know what you were, because of your black and gray fur. You also had a tail that reminded you of that werewolf you saw earlier, and you could stand on two legs. Ozzy then walked over to you and took several close looks at you. During that time you noticed your furry sheath, and balls hanging between your legs. "It appears that you have become a breed of anthropomorphic wolf." Ozzy said
"Like a werewolf?" You asked
"No, werewolves have a hunched back, and while not all muscular do have larger and stronger jaws and larger claws. Not that this isn't good for you of course, you don't need to get used to having to manipulate the larger claws." Ozzy said
"I...guess this is kind of cool then." You said looking down at your four fingered paw/hands with noticeable claws for gripping. You then saw your feet which were paws in every way, and your legs had digitigrade features that you somehow were used to already.
"So can I put my clothes back on?" You asked
"No, they are not suitable for you or your new body now." Ozzy responded
"B...but I'm naked, what do I wear?" You asked with a slight whimper to your voice.
"If you are worried about dignity then you are out of luck. Your fur is too thick for you to wear proper clothing, but you can still wear equipment like leather straps for carrying supplies or other equipment." Ozzy said
"Damn it!" You growled and then Ozzy glared at you like you did something wrong. You cocked your head to the side unsure about what he was angry about, but then Ozzy just sighed. "I should have expected something like this, but that was my mistake not yours. I suppose that I should tell you what you I expect out of you as my familiar." Ozzy said, and you nodded and said,"Yes, please."
"As my familiar you will obey every order that I give you, and do so without question." Ozzy said
"So I'm a slave? Well, that certainly explains earlier." You said
"Familiars are not slaves, but that is a common misconception. Familiars are required to be treated like a common pet, care, food, shelter and pretty much anything along those lines must be given and at a certain quality above that of a slave. But you cannot continue without a proper name for you, and your previous name will become only memory." Ozzy said
"But I..." you began
"NO!" Ozzy interrupted,"You need to recieve a new name just like every other familiar that has ever existed, and every familiar there will ever be! It is the laws that make you ignorant, and what makes this stage for most like me impatient with familiars like you."
"Woah woah, there's no need to get mad. If it's law then I guess that I can adapt to it." You said nervously
"Of course, but for now you will learn. Now I shall take you to your quarters, I will have more for you to do from there." Ozzy said, and you followed him as you were being dragged by your collar. Ozzy took you to a bedroom that actually looked kind of nice, or nicer than what you expected all things considered. There was a straw bed, bookshelves with books, a window, a chair next to a study desk and a closet that was completely empty.
"Here is where you'll be staying from now on, my room is just across from yours." Ozzy said
"Alright, but can you quit it with the collar, I'm not a dog." You said then Ozzy gave you a strange look then you realized what you were.
"Oh, well besides the fact that I'm a wolf can you please take it off?" You begged
"Why? You'd probably run away." Ozzy said
"If I ran away where would I go exactly? I don't even know where I am, and you've turned me into a wolf." You said then Ozzy's expression changed again to one of understanding.
"I see your argument, but on the same note I'm not so sure." Ozzy said
"Hear me out, I woke up in a cage, you took me into this place and turned me into this saying that I must serve you. But you also are offering to take care of me, and you gave me shelter here so can you at least give me that?" You pleaded thinking that you should probably build trust with Ozzy.
"Fair enough, but I'm still going to watch you, at least for the time being. I will basically leave you to do what you will unless I feel the effects of your passive magic amplification fade, which is when you should expect dire consequences for trying to escape." Ozzy said
"I expected you'd say something like that, so go ahead. I won't stop you, or try to stop you in that regard." You said, and Ozzy took away the collar and you walked into your new room.
"So, what did you want me to do then?" You asked
"Get yourself settled in, and read the very first book on the shelf. It should explain to you more about what your duties are as a familiar." Ozzy said, and you nodded. Ozzy then left the room, and you looked around at what you couldn't see on the side of the room facing the door that you came in through. You saw an assortment of weapons that looked medieval like swords, maces, etc. You also saw a bow hanging from the wall with a quiver that already had arrows in it. You then saw a small shelf with a small wand, and a large staff next to it.
"Why is this stuff here? Does this guy want to train me or something?" You thought to yourself puzled then walked over to the bookshelf to see a book partially pulled out on the top-left corner. You took the book and examined it and it looked well-made with a hard cover, and the title read "Guide to being a Familiar" and you knew it was the book that Ozzy was referring to. So what do you do now?
