"Tiresias Suite" said the receptionist. "One of our most popular."
Tiresias, Sharon thought. That sounds familiar. It aroused some distant memory from a course on Greek mythology she had taken once, but she couldn't quite place it.
The double doors of the suite had a curious lock in the form of two snakes intertwined. The Porter handed John an ornately carved wooden stick.
"You open the door by striking the snakes." the porter said.
"Huh, weird" said John, as he raised the stick to strike the snakes.
Hit snakes? Sharon thought, and then she remembered the story of Tiresias and figured out what the Tiresias Suite did. "No" she shouted, as John brought the stick forward.
It was too late. John hit the snakes, the doors opened, and the Andersons found themselves transformed.
