At first, Lina was confused to see only empty air where Amy should have been. Then she looked down, and saw that Amy was on her hands and knees on the floor.
"Amy! Are you okay?" Lina asked, kneeling down to help her friend.
"Y-Yeah, I'm fine," Amy replied shakily, taking Lina's hand, "I just lost my balance all of a sudden."
Lina tried to help Amy to her feet, but as she started standing up Amy's legs started trembling. It only got worse the more upright Amy got, and it seemed like she was having more and more trouble maintaining her balance. She eventually brought her other arm up to grip Lina's shoulder.
"What's... what's happening to me?" Amy asked, struggling to stay on her feet.
"I don't know, but I bet you anything that collar has something to do with it," Lina said, "Let me just..."
Lina reaches up to try and get the collar off, but the sudden lack of support caused Amy to grip tighter and very nearly fall on her knees.
"Dammit, let me down first!" Amy snapped.
"Sorry," Lina said, helping Amy gently get back on all fours. Afterwords, Lina went back to examine the collar. Like Amy said before, the collar was now tight against Amy's neck, just like the leash was against her own wrist. And when she found the clasp and tried to open it, it felt stuck.
"Ugh, it's not coming off," Lina said, making another effort to get the clasp open.
"Big surprise," Amy muttered sarcastically, then yelped in pain as Lina's attempt jerked her neck up with it.
"Sorry!" Lina said, backing off.
"It's okay," Amy grumbled, rubbing her neck with one hand, "Guess that means I'm stuck like this forever."
"Don't worry, we'll find some way to get this thing off us," Lina reassured her friend, "Even if we have to find that shop again and make them take it off."
"Yeah," Amy said, looking up at her friend with a somewhat forced smile, "I can always count on you to help, Lina."
"Thanks," Lina said back, "Now, let's try to think of a way out of this before anything else happens to you."
